This film is amazing at several levels. It would have been my second choice after the "Frosty Man" entry. Too bad more ppl can't see what a unique perspective it offers. There were a lot of subtle lines and film sequences that tell how beautiful NZ is and why it has such a 'hold' on people. (even the timings of deep breaths the actor took on a couple of occasions).

Look beyond the interjection of a war scene for it's true impact on most visitors even if they are from the USA.

@alprosojaschoko it depends how you look at it. i believe the key words are at the end, 'can you feel it?' the director wants us to focus on these words, not the actual fight and obviously its asking if you can feel the the power/energy/wonderfulness (im not to sure on a word that fits here) of new zealand.

but hey, everyone has there own opinion :)

i agree Iwirebr. a bit to American-ised. and just so you know in the first year of the Iraq war 72 percent of Americans backed the war. Anyway I really like the ice cream man and BMX kid. Definitly had some kiwi humour behind it.

Tears rollin' down my face non stop when I watched this short film for the first time, really stroke me ... I found it a delicate topic in an age of so much war. I agree though that it must feel like heaven once you step into New Zealandish soil ... some day ... when flights are cheaper ...
