Bush had many challenges throught 8 years, such as 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq, Katrina, stem cell research, etc. He dealt with these things better than most presidents. For example, he created the Department of Homeland Security. He also created the Northen Command after Hurricane Katrina and had active duty troops called up for rescue before the hurricane hit.

There is no proof that Saddam was capable of producing WMDs at the time Bush 43 stole power. He was, however, building that capability until the IAEA took his toys away from him after the first illegal gulf war.
