  • Project X :)

  • look at the upload date people...

  • The computer they used to edit this video had the heat-sink removed.

  • Word of advice don't buy a camcorder from mcdonalds happy meal

  • jejejejeje this song is a shooter game AMIGA - PROJECT X

  • jejejejeje este tema musical es de un juego de matamarcianos de AMIGA--PROJECTO X.

  • The Game is Open Arena i remember playing it in school !

  • @zwanny1 Actually, it's Quake 3. Someone has no appreciation for classic gaming.

  • Comment removed

  • @UVClay Go Look up Open Arena , Open Arena is practicably quake 3 but different maps and weapons

  • @zwanny1 I've played it. I know the differences.

  • @zwanny1 Also, that's what Call of Duty is.

  • Comment removed

  • @UVClay Ok Brah HAHA

  • @66kcmiller OMG its taken me 10 mins to figure out the reason why I got a msg from you but I couldnt find the comment here was because you deleted it...

  • @66kcmiller the only one that died was the amd! The intel ones all survived.

  • First video I've seen where 240p looks exactly like 360p. XD

  • Edited with the same computer used in the video

  • this is why i dont buy amd

  • WOAH A PENTIUM 4 THAT'S SO FAST OMG!!!!!11

  • nice music from project-x amiga game :)

  • What would happen if i did this with my i7 2600 while running skyrim (ultra settings) on 8gb ram and a gtx 560 ti??? House fire? Lol

  • @Cwafter Skyrim's resource requirements are not that extreme. You'd want to run Furmark without any sort of cooling devices on both your graphics card and processor. Put lots of dry tinder around your computer case and be prepared to call the fire department.

  • Most definitely thermonuclear fusion and the discovery of limitless clean renewable power to light humanity's future. DON'T DO IT @Cwafter!

  • Everytime I do meth, I end up watching this. Often lately. Is it cold in here? I wanna take my skin off.

  • Q3A FTW

  • as i started whatching this vid i saw oh 240p lets change that to hmm 720p then i realised that this vid was filmied with worst excuse for a camera in all or history well done douche

  • well aint this a blast from the past...

  • watching this on 2011 and realizing that he probably removed the heat sink to his computer while editing it :o

  • this video was filming with a calcilator (nice job dude)

  • @rixdox nice job spelling calculator wrong.

  • I'm writting this from the future.

  • Don't worry guys, it was just an AMD.

  • Classic Example of how cheap AMD Processors are.

  • @SuperNicky11 that's why i love them. :)

  • amd sux

  • I seem to remember reading a lot of stuff on this. allegedly it was a doctored test, where something was disabled on the AMD motherboards to keep the CPU running no matter how hot it got.

  • -2011

-I used to record with a potato

-I took an arrow to the knee.

  • >Malaysia

    >In charge of CPU manufacturing

    Oh Dog What done...

  • damn malaysia you suck at pc making

  • this is HD, "High Distortion"

  • Assembled in Malesia, Nuff' Said

  • @NukeAttackWarnings retard. nuff said

  • Ah when Q3 was THE gaming benchmark, those were the days :')

  • ive seen this video elsewhere, the original wasn't nearly this bad, either youtubes compression methods pooched the file, or sokol botched the copying process.

  • Conclusion, Intel is for morons who tries to run computer without cooling...

  • LOL did you edit this with the computer while doing this?

  • They must have edited the video on a computer with the heatsink removed :/

  • Looks like your edited and possibly recorded this video with the AMD computer... -.-

  • Thanks for telling us who created it... now we know who to avoid if we want video editing services

  • proof that Intel is more durable and stronger than amd`s.

  • one hell of a camera

  • @phoenixbrown108 agreed

  • @phoenixbrown108 made 6 years ago m8

  • Lol the visual artifact at 0:43 made me think... WOAH. xD

  • All this video shows is one basic difference in design. Intel encase the acutal chip inside a metal case which acts as a heat sink in its own right meaning the chip will survive for a time if the cooler is removed. AMD don't have the metal case so the heat sink sits straight on the silicon. Although this means the chip won't survive without a cooler, it actually means the chip is better cooled than the Intel when the cooler is in place because the heat doesn't have to get through another layer.

  • This vid made me install uae again!

  • Oldschool baby :D!

  • looks like you took the heatsink off your camera....wtf is my cpu frying?

  • Where can I buy a toaster that edits and encodes video like this?

I love the effect it gives! :)

  • poor quality but epic video

  • 2001 video,still looking nice!370C,that's crazy!Hahaha...Who wants some boiled eggs? xD

  • Filmed and edited with - a bucket of water

  • @TheShepherd88 Funny fact: this video was made like 10 years ago.

  • @TehX97Spartan "6" nice exaggeration.And camera's were just as good back then.

  • @TheShepherd88 AND.

In soviet russia, 240p is HD.

  • @TheShepherd88 Actually guessing the encoding process was: They tried to memorize every pixel value by heart, wrote the whole thing on some sheets of paper, typed it on windows' notepad and changed the extension to .avi

  • @TheShepherd88 Agree, also video was capture on BETA film.

  • @TheShepherd88 with a pc with outh a heatsink

  • @TheShepherd88 No, this is a reupload of a reupload of a reupload reuploading reuploaded shit.

  • @YodaRocks123 Uh no, the lesson is dont take off your heatsink while your computer is on, you fucking idiot

  • @Niemtol Yea his processor is melting, but he's recording with a camcorder not a fucking processor

  • do a revision on this with a better quality camera!

  • My god, did you remove the heatsink from your camcorder as well?

  • @foxman105 Well, if a CPU can survive some idiot attempting to run it without a heat sink then it can certainly survive a more likely scenario- a fan failure

  • Anyone know if a Toshiba satellite L455D laptop will support an AMD Phenom II 3 GHz Processor ( mobile ) with the same socket type ( S1 ). Don't want to order it and it not work.

  • All the magic smoke got out. Happened to me the other night with a 555, just one little wire in the wrong place.

  • 1:07 onwards... Sssssmokin!!!

  • well i guess that symptom manifested in my laptop, i guess i need an efficient cooling method

  • aaaa made in malaysia .. failed country

  • it was filmed with the burned AMD

  • Umad Malaysia?

  • @DutchDukeMan

    Not at all.

But an AMD QA guy would be mad.

  • Thats why you shouldn't Buy AMD, it smokes. And smoking is not allowed.

  • @ThelastSano LOL

  • @Niemtol Lol bit like your account !

  • Typical AMD. Did anyone notice that AMD burned while Intel didn't? I used to have an old AMD laptop... I took it apart, started it up, and it actually caught on fire... Don't buy AMD unless you want a hole in your motherboard.

  • @SroEpicness You should do yourself a favor and read up on Heatspreaders. The intel chips happened to have one, while the AMD chips did not. Chips can be sold with and without them depending on whether or not they are needed, but long story short, if the Intel chips did not have them, they would have reached the same temperatures the AMD chips did.

Not the most fair comparison on this video.

  • @mobiusdw The Pentium III did NOT have a heat spreader and yet it still survived. Can you explain that?

The heat speader has nothing to do with it. The fact is, Intel designed their chips with significantly better thermal protection. An intel CPU will actually slow down and shut off when it's thermal limit is reached. AMD chips, on the other hand, will simply burn themselves up. The proof is right there in the video.

  • @DubrowMark

What is that? /watch?v=8V3M96XD7Hw intel is better yes yes, you 1/2 know is wrong. AMD had a protection but some AMD and intel Mainboards working that unfortunately notthing!

Today has all AMD and Intel Mainboards a switch off prodection, for over heating and other disturbances.

  • @mobiusdw You retard I'm not trying to compare Intel and AMD by heat. I'm comparing them by how good they are and their cooling. Intel runs cooler, better, and faster. In my opinion, all chips need to have cooling. If you ask people I know, they will tell you I'm crazy with my cooling... Just putting my pc in a room filled with nitrogen like that.. haha

  • Comment removed

  • @SroEpicness or covering an entire pc with baby oil, crazy...... oh wait everyone is doing that now :D

  • Nice glitchey pixellated stop motion low rez footage there.

  • i wish know what is the song name...

  • Lesson of the day: Don't get products assembled in Malaysia?

  • Hey, my Gateway cx200 boots with a fan error, o2fa, any idea? I took out the fan, took it off the cooling unit, and blew out all the dust and stuff, I reinstalled it with new thermal grease, any idea whats up?

  • good demonstration, bad video rendering.

  • this just proves that amd is hotter and sexier than intel right?

  • i got a little computer problem, im pretty sure it hassomthing with the CPU to do, about 1 hour after i turn on my computer it freezes, ive noticed, under my heatsink and ontop of my CPU that plastic layer thingo is not covering the entire area where the heatsink and CPU are connected, can that be a couse for my CPU to overheat and freeze? THX for any answers, even stupid ones

  • No CPU's were harmed during the making of this video, right???

  • @CrissPath that, well never find out

  • outdated shit

  • @psychonaut25 Your mother is outdated too. Old PCs rulez!

  • @KubaPSP oh yes, enjoy playing solitaire ;) i go play forza 4 and bf3 ....

  • @psychonaut25 Who said I don't have new computer? :D AMD Phenom II X6 and HD5870 is still playing newest games on ultra high without any problems :P

  • Damn that music brings back RAM

Project X by Team 17 on ye oldie Amiga :D

  • @bigfishymushy 's not RAM, must be flash memory

  • i overclocked an amd once, not a good sight...

  • ohhh, so pick on the AMD huh??

  • Holy Shit! P4 fails at 29 Celsius! My P4 HT had last year a temperature of 50 Celsius and it doesn´t crash! :O

  • Lol Fking terrible video... The fking grahpics suck balls

  • an overclocker was tweakin his watercooling build, and his processor overheated and went Bang, shit went thru his forehead.. very dangerous shit

  • Looks like Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff decided to do tech reviews.

  • seems Intel cpu's can outdo amd's

  • @mikeyabeast24 na, just intel cpus tend to have a failsafe, once they reach a certain temp they will shut down, amds don't have em. By and large, amd is the way to go with gaming, just.....make sure its properly cooled.

  • @talon24 AMD's since 2002 have had that feature just not enabled for some reason, you'd have to enable it in most Motherboard Bios(es) XD Still AMD for gaming FTW!

  • @talon24

Yep, and that was back then. Actually, there were thermally failsafe AMD designs even in 2006 when this video was uploaded. I have one of those on my desk right now and it has been tested for cooling failure. Trottled down below 90 degrees C, shut off slightly above, no damage done. Normal operating temperature 50 deg C.

  • song:

    /watch?v=WpcO2yMxO3U

  • yea sure if you remove the heatsink its very bad for the processor. lol so dont judge processors based on what they do under the catostrophic scenario of removing the heatsink

  • @thetheoryofall

The point of this video(beyond geek entertainment) is to demostrate just that - behaviour under catastrophic cooling failure and/or catastrophic overload. This does not mean AMD are inferior, just that old Intels had precautions that old AMDs lacked. This will never happen if the technician knows what he's doing.

  • Welcome to QUAKE 3 ARENA, PREPARE TO LAG

  • i did this once. burnt my finger too.

  • The reason that the intel CPUs survive is because they underclock themselves when the temp gets too high (to protect them)

To be clear: I'm not saying that intel is better or worse, I've used AMD for years and am using an intel right now. Sure my current processor is better but comparing a new ish processor to an old one isn't fair ;)

Most computers also have some kind of protection that causes them to freeze or shut down if temps get too high

  • LOL QUAKE 3

  • i deckare war against utube squares lol

  • Time to dig out WinUAE again.

  • Comment removed

  • my amd computer just get shut down when i removed the heatsink XD

  • what benchmark is this

  • intel is better than amd ,intel not explode never

  • usefull

  • make a new one with core i7 and buldozer!

  • 0:32 whatwtf

  • did you prerender this video without a heatsink or what?!

  • @MrJablong The video was made in 2006 fucktard.

  • @MrJablong No HD in 2001

  • @MrJablong No HD in 2001

  • the most scariest thing is not the burning CPU but frame rate dropping!

as i watch frame rate goes down 58fps to 11fps, that was an absolute horror that i couldnt withstand

  • This is the dumbest fucking video I have ever seen. The AMD CPU's being run are circa year 2000-2001... I mean really? AMD has owned Intel's ass in performance until the i5 i7 K series finally caught up to AMD. Get a clue.

  • 1:15 top malaysian quality :D

  • My Pentium4 still running :D

  • @TheJoRdAnMaSt3R SAME WITH MINE OMG :O

  • wow every test i've seen shows amd as garbage, it overheats too easily but can power greater programs and display better graphics so i guess there is a reason why it does.

  • XD trust me those things can explode IKNOW :(

  • so.... which is really better, intel or amd?

  • Intel processors seem to have tiny heatsinks built in.

  • и какой дурак будет использовать процессор без охлаждения?...

  • were they fucking with the camera cpu?

  • R.I.P AMD

  • AMD Assembled in Malaysia, I'm from Malaysia!

  • Test result: Fu*k AMD.

  • amd sucks

  • Holy crab, did u render this video with your cpu fan heatsink removed?

  • @x20mega I laughed my ass off when I read this. Only because I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • What is this song from? I swear I've heard it before. Can somebody tell me?

  • what game kinda looks like blackopps

  • @drake1351 Black Ops? This video was made 4 years ago.

  • this experiment was performed by intel?

  • zzz i thought u really deassemble the CPU.....

  • Wow. This is insane. I'm just getting into gaming computers, and this stuff is so incredible.

  • My intel processor is usually around 80°C!

  • @Fredrik2012 What cpu is it and is that under full load... If not then you got issues dude....

  • @rvsgamer When i start it it's around 50-60°C...

  • @rvsgamer Dude what CPU are you running lol..... I am running an overclocked Q6600 and that idles at around 39-43c through the 4 cores.. on a full load that tops out at around 73c and all i have is a low profile Atric 7 freezer pro cooler..

  • lol!!! Intel >>>>>>> AMD

  • I know this video's old, but seeing those AMD chips smoke up makes me worry if people were right about AMDs being shitty in general.

  • @sompret They were never really shitty, just not as powerful, and back then they lacked protection for what was really a rare scenario. They've always had a much better price to performance ratio though. I say that as someone who has used Intel chips for the last five years.

  • @sompret The early amd's didn't throttle down like the intel's did. That's why you see the frame rates drop on the screen before the crash.

  • thanks i could have had them lol

  • What happens when nothing is being removed from nothing

  • any bet it didnt like that

  • whats the music called?

  • Of course the intel will do better, it has a heat spreader.

  • That sounds like the Project X theme tune from the Amiga!
