@GCSneakers : From a professional trumpeter and composer, keep practicing and listening...you will be amazed at what you will be able to in a few years. You will still have to pause the recording to play or write down what you hear, but slowing down is unnecessary.
it's amazing how little of the low register coltrane used before he picked up the soprano sax and still was a very effective soloist. this solo fits within the range of the alto sax, making it accessible to many more players. GJ on the transcription.
