  • such a pretty horseeey :Dx

  • That horse is gorgeous!<3

  • skillzz

  • does the two point american crap matter at least she got out of the way of the horse or didnt get outbounced

  • lean forward!

  • one of my friends events her 14.3hh cob who jumps over 4ft xc courses better than most of the other horses. He doesn't look so fancy in dressage but wow can he jump!!

  • Whoooosh paddie, WHOOOSH :)

  • @lilPonyRockers ya he looks so relaxed and thats a high jump for a cob! i never usally see them jump that high :D

    and hes so pretty!

  • @sweetrevenge1995 Cobs can jump as high as any horse! :) its just people dont usually take them high because they think that, or they get a cob because they may be a nervous rider :) (not saying everyone who owns a cob is a nervous rider!! hehee) Its whether they can jump a course of higher jumps that count xx

  • @BethanHorseMad can they? i always here people complaining that there such useless jumpers thats why i was suprised to see a cob jump that high, in my old horse riding school they always gave the cobs to the begginers because they never did much, but seeing that my thoughts were wrong kinda makes me a bit happy lol thanks :)

  • @sweetrevenge1995 Yeesh, my cob jumps high, but i have no vids of us really high ;) They are on my channel, numbers 13, 14 and 15 :)

  • @lilPonyRockers ya i was always thought to do that from the start i just presumed everyone did it but i guess not :)

thanks for explaining i was feeling a bit lost lol x

  • @lilPonyRockers oh thanks :)

but i thought you were supposed to do that anyway?

  • aww i love your cob. how old is he? :) tbh just ignore any crit you dont want. its your horse (i think) and you ride the way you want to. your not causing him any pain so people should just back off. and it was posted in 2008 so im sure you ride different now anyways :) i love cobs :) x

  • nice cob hes lovely but you need to work on your jumping position a little but apart from that your really good and ignore the whip thing i dont use a crop because my mare is hyper anyway but i have rode horses in the past that simply dont respond to the leg so you give them a tip behinf the girth to get them going.

well done though it was a nice jump. :)

  • Thats really good!! im trying to get mine to jump like that!! :L x

  • I don't know what's sadder... The fact that you can't post a vid of you & your horse on YouTube without being criticised, or the fact that you lot sit there and rip into someone else's riding!!!! Bloody hell. ... @ curlyburd, good jumping hun, your horse is lovely xxx

  • it might help to get in 2-point darling :)

  • @fluteyhorse It might help to not be such an arrogant arse. Just incase you were wondering, a '2-point' doesn't exist in England, DARLING.

  • @curlyburd yes, ik. thanks for taking my comment offensively. i used to live in england, and i rode there, so yeah. ik, alright? get in jumping position then. it doesn't mean that u have an excuse not to be in jumping position. and for ur information the "darling" was a friendly comment, so chill out.

  • @curlyburd urrrm yes it does i am from england!

  • @curlyburd does it not??? is it a half seat then???

  • @horseriderponylover It's often referred to as a light seat, or forward seat.

  • @curlyburd * or a fold :)

  • @horseriderponylover Haha Fail -.-

  • @curlyburd hahahaha maybe it should!

  • @curlyburd a 2 point position does exist in england it exists everywhere :L

  • @curlyburd Actually it does it is also know as light seat or jumping position, you need to go more with the horse and don't stand so high up, lean forward more. Stay closer to your horse, Also make sure your toes are pointed forward and your heels are down. What I get my students to do is put your stirrups up so you are riding like a racing jockey and ride like that for half the lesson it really helps them balance and have a good position Try smaller triples before going onto larger doubles.

  • THIS VIDEO IS NOT OF ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I meant that it isn't helpful to say 'get in a two point' when it is not referred to as this in england. It's a bit like me replying to this comment in double dutch. Not helpful. Why do people insist on criticising people's videos? Did I ask for your help? Er.... NO!

  • @curlyburd Oh and... it is referred as that in England, as well. You just haven't heard it. I'm not trying to be mean... It would help to tell whoever this is to lean forward more, and push her hands forwards, because she's catching that poor horse in the mouth.

  • @curlyburd Hey, don't listen to the people telling the rider to go into two-point, or light seat, or whatever. What the rider did was sit back, shoved their heels down and prepared for whatever the horse was going to do. Sure they didn't go into two-point, but they atleast got off the horses back so it could clear the fence. Believe it or not people, but two-point isn't required to get over the fence, and I doubt that huge cob hardly feels that little girl on him regardless. Good job! :)

  • @curlyburd I think you rode really well :) and your pony is a fab jumper! but a 2 point does exist in england, i know because i live in england xx :L

  • @curlyburd Two point does exist in England.. it's just another name for half seat.

  • Comment removed

  • @curlyburd Actually it does :) Except a two-point is refered to our cross-country seat or galloping position, I think what she means for you, is get a jumping position

  • @curlyburd Usually, the bigger the jump the further over you lean with your horse:) So If you were jumping in the puissance for example your hands would be pretty much touching your horses ears and you will lean far over its neck:)

  • @curlyburd YES IT DOES! IT'S ANOTHER NAME FOR JUMP POSITION!!

  • @fluteyhorse im irish ive never heard of 2 point do you mind explaining what it is to me if you dont mind :)

  • @fluteyhorse stuk up twit that thinks you knwo evrything DARLING pa ha ha

  • cob can jump amazing

  • Don't stand up when you're jumping, you want to bend at the waist

  • lol :) wish i could just go out & jump on my gypsy horse & jump some jumps :D

  • Put it this way she got him over it. she used a whip. its her horse. not yours. so how about everyone stop butting because unless you have a time machine its too late to change what she did!!!! x

  • you have a beautiful horse! :D

and i think it is ok to give your horse a tap on the shoulder, sometimes they need it! ;)and just for anyone who doesnt agree, i mean a tap not a skelp! ;)

  • A little more fold would have been needed, but cute horse.

  • a little more of a fold on the second jump would b good

  • all your doing is standing up x go with the movement and dont keep you hand by the saddle if you push them u his neck he'll be more forward ;) did u learn jump properly? apart from that good jump for a cob x i used to ride a 15.2 cob and he was sooooo lazy!!!!!! if you took your kegs of him hed stop!!! i was like always jumping with one hand cos i was like leg leg leg leg leg whack on him bump jump!!!! then when i got my own i was like gripping on for dear life!!!! i was like half halt on her!!

  • @horseyhayley11 legs*

  • thats one meter ? its only just over 3ft i thought one meter was bigger than that :L x

  • try to lean forward and give your riens halfway up the neck he will jump far better

  • aaaw so cute xx

  • pretty cob =)

  • Don't stand in the saddle. -.-

  • find you crazy? if you give for the obstacle a hard slap him. if he does not jump he is beaten!

  • Everyone has different opinions but by nice to the girl!!! Some natural trains belivie that you should never use a crop but that doesnt mean others cant!

  • 2 POINT!!!

  • cool!!

    your cob jumps so good!!

    well done

  • i think it was a good idea. you shouldve used the whip.all of the other people said it wasnt good to use it u never know(to the commenters) he might would have refused without it.

  • Omg why is everyone commenting saying it could have done without the whip and everything but have you all rode the horse ? No didnt think so, if she tapped the horse on the shoulder its not the end of the world some horses need encouragement ! nice riding and you got guts to jump that height :) check my vids out ! love the cob ! xxx

  • u need to fold over jump :) omg people leave her alone!!! how many people give there horses the odd tap for incurgment and your all crying about it...........phanot happy with it dont watch it..simples:) <3 x

  • if you have to smak him do it on his bum not the shoulder.. lush horse tho :)

  • beautiful horse you should try folding over the jump it makes it alot more comfortable for you and the horse and i know some horses need encouragment going into a jump that big but you should try using it on your boot it makes it alot more pleasurable for the horse =) nice riding tho

  • He looks like a vanner :3 but he's not :(

  • he could deffinitle have used without the smack with the crop!

  • Did you hurt your horse with your whip between the two fences? Right after the first.

A whip is invented to whip your boot, or the saddle, and not the horse.

Hes beautiful, and a great jumper :)

  • Your meant to whip the horse if they need it, not the saddle what good is that? That might be what spurs him onto the next jump, i doubt it hurt atakll horses are so thick skinned anyway :)

  • When you whip your saddle, you hear a sound, that your horse is afraid of, and that enough. A horse can feel a fly on them, so i think they do feel when you snap it.

  • i dont agree with whipping. giving them just a little tap behing the girth if they REALLY need it is okay but i hate seeing all those "pro" riders hitting their horses multiple times...its terribly cruel!!

BUT nice riding anyways gorg horse u r a gd rider keep it up x

  • @horseshoequeen she only tapped him on the shoudler once

  • @horseshoequeen totally agree, a little tap if necessary but not a full blown smack!, you aint alone hun, i think it's cruel too, good riding thoough hunny x

  • @horseshoequeen

when i go for lessons the teachers told me it doesn't hurt the horse, so it does or does it ?

  • @horseshoequeen - i dont agree with SEVRE whipping but she gave him a tap on the shoulder so he new to lift over it :)

i dont like whips but my cobb is amazingly talented and if i dont carry one she is like hmm nahh cos she thinks she can get away with it haha !xxx

  • @AmyMcintyrex3 barely a tap!! more like a whack!!

  • @horseshoequeen she didnt hit it 'multiple' times she tapped it a stride away from the fence to make sure it jumped it.

  • your lucky to have him lol

  • waarom geef je hem nog een goede tik met e zweep als je over de oxer moet ?? .

en je rijd niet door na de sprng

  • hey :-9

You have a good horse osv osv. but i need to get u heals down , i see the horses get hurt when u fall down on he/her and thats not good at all.

  • You need to keep ur heels down and ur sturups at the ball of ur foot, i had the same problem. U sturups r a too long, i know its more comfertable in like canter and sitting trot, i did the same thing, but it helps when jumping. when ur jumping, bend more in ur hips and relse more over the jump. i did the same thing and my instructor told me to get a ribbon and tie it on were i should be relesing to. i did and im better now!

Im not critising, just giving you a little advise! :D

  • OMG my friend had a hors that looked exactly like this but could only b mounted up in large area nothing like a school and now he is amazing at X-Country. Paddy is not with J anymore and she sold him to some people who learnt about his problems with being mounted up in the school.

  • Nice oe he's gorgz :) i have avi off me jumpin a 26 year old conemarra/cob over a metre spread. he's onli 14.2H =L

  • That was great! he jumped it as if it was a cross pole! yes you could fold but im not here to critise! well done (:

  • wheres your fold?

    you're just standin up!!

    gorgeous cob though

    x

  • Love Paddy but u need to shorten ur stirrups and lean forward more becuase u r just standing in the stirrups.

  • haha! u gotta love cobs. they'll do anything lol

  • i Think The Slap Between Jumps Wasnt Needed Realli. Just Ride On Hard Lakk. Im No Way Against Usin Crops Btw. But Good Job. I Love Cobs. I Have A Vid Of Me Jumpin A Conamarra Cod Over A Mtre Lolz

  • I have to agree with a lot of people, first your stirrups are too long, I used to do the same thing and you need to follow through with the jump not just stand in the stirrup as you're not following the horses centre of gravity which moves forward when he jumps.

Also, gather up your reins a bit more, and try not to just charge him at the jumps, it flattens him out rather than having him go up and over, you can see in it that he knocked the pole.

But, he's a great jumper, good video.

  • amazing, it really annoys me when people give you advice in a nasty way like they are people who are perfect all the time

i think you look great, even the best riders still have lessons, you are always learning and this is one snapshot of thousands of jumps you jump so how can anyone judge you from that

check out my video of my cob jumping :D

  • gross

  • y? x

  • i dont even remember what i said

  • ...you said "gross"...

  • you need to fold up more and follow his neck over the jump wiv ur hands/ reins.

as he has a flat jump, to make him change that you shud school him so he works on a better outline and then u wil make the corner better on a bouncy canter. for all those ppl hu say tht u cant comment (etc) i jump grade a bsja ponies and have a personal trainer for bsja nd wh...

  • you need to fold more your just standing in your stirrups...

    but nice jumping.

  • impressive colours but his jump is....aaa....um...flat or somethin

  • i do agree with many of the comments here, you do need to fold into a jumping position otha wise ure goin to wind up catching him in the mouth :)

  • good, but like u dnt have a jumpin position...

  • YOUR FUCKIN CHEEKY BTW!!

    and your a perfect rider?

ubtil you have jumped at the highland show and horse of the year shoq. been to ellen whitakers and jumped against her

    SHUT IT!!!!

  • aww, bless him! :L

    xox

  • very good nice pace through jumps but fold over the jumpsGREAT JOB

  • WOOP! WOOP!

my fav pony is called Paddy, && a LUV cobs, great ridin!!

its added 2 my favs already :L

I just wanna give a lit-tle advice 4 the people hoo say ur positions bad....

    'GO CHOKE ON AN APPLE!!'

    haha lol xD

  • I dunno wat every1 is saying ur position is bad cuz I dont see any problem with ur position its great!!your really good and so is your horse well done!

  • beautiful. you should enter him in my contest for drafts and draft x.

  • I do agree wiht some pople you need to lean forward justa bit, and lol there wasnt a point in smacking him whe he was taking off once hes off he cant make himself go much faster lol

  • SWEET i love ridding to

  • Well Done

u Need 2 Fold Wen Yu Go Ova The Jumps

    But God Job!!

    x

  • Ok I can see how some of you are giving advice nicely, good :) Lol but some of you are just yelling at her sheesh, bad >:( Yea to the person riding dont listen to some of them. They probably dont even know better. You look fine on him and he is adorable! Lol hes a good jumper too. :)

  • u luk so gd. Ignore wot ova people r sayin every1 has 2 start somewhere. U suit him very well nd he is such a gd horse.

  • why do you experts (idiots) have to drag other people down you probably say tht to make yourself feel better about your riding

    >:(

  • It's a young girl enjoying her fantastic pony..why do you people need to pull her riding to bits? You guys probably couldn't ride a rocking horse. I hate armchair experts that pick on kids having fun with ponies.

  • your a crackin wee rider missies :) gorgeous ponyy <3 xx

  • is paddy a gypsy vanner? cause gypsy vanners are like, my FAVORITE BREED EVER! love the horse. P.S. everyone's right. like, no offense but whoever is riding kinda needs to learn 2-point ya know what I'm saying?

  • No its a cob (: O wait, are you the same girl from the other video I responded to? Sorry if u r.

PS if you read the title it says cob on both videos

  • u need to learn the jumpin position trust us babe its not doin any gud to ur bk

  • Her position is fine as long as she holds on, its just different I guess. Everyone has there styles. Im not trying to start and fight and I bet some people would yell at her for that 2 point lol my trainer wouldnt ltet her ride XD! But my other trainer would say you should compete i pros lol

  • who ever was riding kindaa sucks with that horse... but i loveyyy the horse

  • all i can say is use ur legs...n dont stand up in ur saddle..lean forwar like ur doing a duck sqaut!!

    Gr8 vid tho !!

  • @Rachaeltopham would you rather have the wind kicked out of you or a tap on the shoulder, exactly

  • @Elliehedditch30

Using your legs just not mean ' kicking the wind' out of a horse its simply means keep the contact with your legs... keep them there so he knows they are there and thats your asking him to go forward... id rather someone do that than punish me with a so called 'tap' on the shoulder!!!

  • @Rachaeltopham no but constantly nudging etc makes them complely dead and yes one of my taps are taps im not a beater. tell me this then would you rather have someone slap you once, or get consatntly punched for an hour? exactly and dont you dare say one of my so called taps because i dont know how you use a whip but i most certianly dont use much more ty very much!

  • @Elliehedditch30

i do not use a whip... i keep the contact on my horse with my legs... i do not need to use a whip as i have schooled my horse by contact via my legs... i do not ' kick the wind out of my horse' but if you look at half the experienced riders such as the whitakers do you see them ' tapping' their horses with whips... no you dont... they do not ' kick the wind' out of thier horse either you do not even see movement from thier legs!!!

  • @Rachaeltopham that's just ur horse. some other, lazier horses may need a "whip" (its called a crop btw). it doesnt mean that just because ur horse doesnt need a crop that other horses dont. and "experienced" riders dont need crops because they ride energetic event horses, aka warmbloods.

  • wheres your jumpin position your just standing out of the saddle, great vid ;D

  • Green horse and green rider?

  • =] wickeeddd keeep up thee good work X

  • Wow, that's quite a tuck!! Looks lke a super pony!

  • yh looks like Paddy does rock lol

  • Your stirrups are really long no offence gr8 video though!

  • can you enter my cob collab please? will appriciate it no end! xx

  • lovely :]

Maybe if you feel he isn't listening to you try a set of comb spurs?

  • aww ur cobs so sweet! he has a great jump too!just remember to bend a little more over your jumps n u 2 cud make gud jumpers!

  • i like ur cob!! ur position is great!! u just need to fold a little more!!

    paddy has good markings!!
