  • speaking of money (i come from a show choir that has the "money" reputation and pulls out all the stops in the show), i appreciate NC so much because they produce the same effect in their show as the choirs who drown their shows in props and costumes. a sign of real talent, NC you're one of my favorites, for sure.

  • money can't win for competitions because costumes at the most only add up to around

10 to 15 points out of like 200 points. and you dont even need a costume change to do well. my show choir doesnt have a costume change, and we've never not made finals

  • They are awesome! That arrangement did not do their voices justice. They needed more depth in the parts-they have the talent! It's about time SOMEONE does something from The Color Purple! LOVED the choreography!

  • What competition was this at?

  • ummm there not the right words idiot because the right words would not have been appropriate for a HIGH SCHOOL competition. and they lost to a school (name not even worth mentioning) that beat them out with money... not talent.

  • Please explain how ensemble talent at the high school level is directly related to money. Just because Carmel has the stereotype of money doesn't make them any less (or more) talented than North Central. Both groups are amazing and should win or lose with class.

  • in all actuality Cp lost to choirs that sing with more parts and have more musical shows. i love cp an they are great but they go for croud reaction not juge approval an thus many times choirs like Carmel and Center grove beat them. yes money is a factor however lawrence central has beaten Cp in the past an its just a vocal thing Cp sings great but they sing in 4 parts while other chors do 8 parts and dance with the same level of enthusiasm...

  • When you have a choir like center grove that can require voice and dance lessons to even be in the choir because everyone has the money, it makes a difference. However, Carmel does everything to fit into the formula of what the judges want and NC does cater more to the crowd and as a result NC is more inconsistent.

  • How can money win a competition? Your costumes were just as good, your show was incredible. How did their money help them?

  • but you do have to admit that paying $2000+ just to be in show choir is kind of ridiculous. i paid $300 and had just as much fun! :)

  • carmel wasn't even who beat us here. we only compete with them at state

  • my bad i thought this was the LC competition

  • who beat them here?

  • omgosh this good

  • What! those aren't even the right words

  • they probably had to change them for the competition because of all the sexual references

  • This is good!

    dex

  • WOW!!! Exceptional vocals. Everybody was on point from the front row all the way to the back... Excellent show CP!

  • WHAT IN THE WORLD?!

    Why didn't they get first?!

    AWESUM!!! I LOVE THIS!!!

  • They should have won this competition !!!

  • I love the counterpoints 2007 show.

  • you sang da'keisha!!

  • i like the way you all changed the lyrics because I know the original lyrics would not have been appropriate

  • I don't know what i'm missing? Definately seems like a far cry from the NC of years past...

  • we got second at their competition this year, but when they performed everyone from our choir sh*t. the best show i have ever seen hands down. seriously though, we were all speechless.

  • AWESOME interpretation of this song! Great style!

  • i think ive watched this about 100 times...

    i cant get over it.

  • Best 15 minutes of my life. Took the 5-year running title of my favorite show EVER.

  • da'keisha's amazing.

  • fucking amazing.
