this is the song that made me forgive my inlaws for all the hell they put me through, losing my husband last year to cancer, then 2 people broke in my house stabbed me over &over until they thought i was dead. i came to in the hospital my preacher was there,my children, they said i was stabbed with a cross if it had been straight it woud killed me, i was saved by the cross it left a dent in my chin to remind me to be grateful.................raine

I'm 20+ years past my own, but back at the turn of the '90's it provided the key note to mine AFTER I had done all the soul searching, life circumnavigation and personal growing. I think my parents need to listen to and heed this song's message. They divorced when I was 21, and it definitey wasn't friendly. Their selfishness and anger made the situation that much more unbearable for my sister and me. We can't even talk about our childhood memories around them because they don't want to be reminded of when they were together. Resentment is like poison, hurting all that it touches. I'm now working on forgiving them and ending this sick cycle.
