Evbot is simply awesome flawless. I'm really happy I picked this sucker up. Pushed my 920 to 5.2ghz, something I couldnt do with os overclocking software or tryin to boot in from bios.
All these technologies are half-a#@ed and they never look back. -Just sell you the next piece of crap cause you are disgusted with how the last one worked (rather *didn't* work) and they won't fix it.
Argh. After past experience with EGVA, (and ATI before AMD owned it, - to be fair) something will be broken and they won't fix it because they will be busy creating the next broken technology. They STILL haven't made NVmonitor work in Visturd... don't understand how 'umlaut' is a valid temperature when I DO get it to launch.
-And they replaced it with that god-awful, 1980's-era green 'Battlezone' monitor that has C.R.S. disease --> can't remember squat of if it was supposed to be on at boottime, monitor - what? 1 or 15 items?
none?
At least you could tell at a glance what was going on in the old one.
PLEASE don't anyone mention Mac. Holy hell. That thing gets the 'Pinwheel of Doom' 1,000% more often than even my windows 98 machine ever got Bluescreen.
I know of NO OTHER system, like my Mac Mini, brand spanking new, that can 'Go Pinwheel' by opening it's text editor RELIGIOUSLY.
You can't install a GTX285 in a iMac.. So that point is moot.. It has more to do with the embedded NVIDIA graphics apple are using in their product line-up.
Wow talk about a BAD idea showing an apple computer, not to mention the iMac in a commercial devoted to serious overclock enthusiasts..
lol. you can make yourself a PC for half the price of a Mac Pro and have it run Hackintosh and it'll run better than the Mac pro lolololololololololololol
Okay, I didnt say you couldn't? It won't run better than the Mac Pro with hacked kernels etc. I do agree that most of Apples products are overpriced but give them a try sometime and you will see what such high quality they are! I always hated on them to until I picked up a Macbook Pro pretty cheap and I loved it.
This isn't simply about basic 24/7 overclocking. For that, BIOS overclocking is best. However, when benching, you can't always boot into Windows with your best benching speeds; you either need to use software like ELEET to use something like the EVBot to change once in windows. Some people prefer not to use software tools to overclock, and this is a handy utility that will also have future compatibility with new boards and cards.
Looks great but a few things... A. I don't think this is real time through the bios I'm assuming which makes me wonder what the point is. Cost is 80$, while it looks nice IMO it's bot worth that much if it doesn't go through the bios and basically every graphics card is unsupported including the 295
:D overclocking!! °♥°

only 5.2? i thought u would get it upto 7 or 8 at leeeeast 0.o
is this easier to use than going into bios and/or using os software? (i dunno how it could get easier...)

You could just go into the bios.

Bottom line:
-Would love to have this if nVidia could promise full support
-Visturd sucks (should have been named Windows Not-Responding)
-Microsoft sucks in general
Mac sucks.. but hardest. Leopard my butt- I call it "Crash Monkey."

This is designed to extend overclocking options, not replace the BIOS guys.
