The rhyme he invoked is one thats been used since the late 60s early 70s by preachers like himself in the embers of burning and bombed out churches to preach tolerance and forgiveness for wrongs both real and percieved by way of lightening a servere moment. It is invoked here ironically to portray how far we've all come from those burned out, bombed out churches, or at least how far we'd come on that particular day.

If you know the history the white man has beat the hell out of him, killed many of his friends in the struggle for racial parity.

I think many people white, black, or whatever people have misinterpreted his use of. a prayer to the LORD should not be spoken as a "joke" or a "rhyme" my friend, even if you think that's all it was. I myself am a white man; Ive reach out many times in my life to many blacks in friendship only to have my hand slapped away many more times than accepted. Many of those which accepted, proved to have no true friendship to offer; and of those few that I have recieved friendship from, have given me cause to keep their friendship at arms leangth. There has always been an attitude amongst the black people that I have met that there can be friendship between us, but we will never be friends.

Retaliated against her! I could tell apprx my 3 week there that the whites in our dept were not happy with my presence at all! My Projects were not only on-time but early,Exceptional work ethics, attendance, attire, and professional. My Supervisor stated I was a "hard,hard,hard worker" while releasing me of my duties.
