I'm from Denmark, and I gotta say that the way socialized health care is portrayed in this clip is very misleading. Fact is that we have built a dependency that we, in some years time, wont be able to fulfill. Costs continue to rise and quality continues to fall under government control. Furthermore, as the bbbommer generation retires the burden will become much larger and the system will undoubtedly fail. This is pretty much common knowledge to the average dane, yet we cant do much about it...

I would consider myself a libertarian. And yes I am from Denmark. But does it really matter what anybody calls themselves? The important thing must be to acknowledge the facts, and think outside the little right/left boxes.

What I've said about the Danish health care system is all backed up by government numbers. Any rational person, regardless of political affiliation, should be able to add up the numbers and recognize that the system is fundamentally unsound.

Trust me, the numbers for American healthcare make Denmark's look very, very good. In the US, the leading cause of bankruptcies are medical costs. Count your blessings. I'm sure no system is perfect, but there are degrees. The US also has the highest rate of uninsured: 40-50 million Americans without health insurance.45,000 Americans die each year because they did NOT have health insurance. In the US, the health care system is one of lose your job, lose your healthcare. You do not want that.

Alligator indicator, LOL. I love my state sponsored health care in Canada. I pay 54 dollars a month. I was chatting with an American in Hawaii and he told me when he retired he'd have to pay 1200 a month until his medicaid kicked in; ouch.
