Thank you for sharing this lovely dress... you are so very fortunate to have inherited such a thing, but it made me cringe thinking of you wearing it as a "costume"-- it is, as you said, a piece of art. You'd do this lovely item greater justice reading up on the history and incorporating other aspects in your discussion (i.e. use terms such as "Regency"-- describe the underpinnings--there were many, such as the pantalets that were crotchless!) and please leave out "friggin" for friggin sake!
