lol, i hate final fantasy games too, i just dont like the turn combat sistem, i mean the people just stand and whait for their turn while the enemy is fucking freaking their faces! and i think that's very lame. This game was good at it's time, but i agree that some of the storyline it's weird and boring, but the overall it's ok.

It was a game where you REALLY had to suspend your disbelief (Which, while playing a Final Fantasy game, is practically a commonplace,) but I personally didn't think it was half bad.

Nowhere near the quality of Final Fantasy VI, IX or IV, but there was certainly worse *coughX-2cough*
