Great job, so emotional, like the entire film. Two Socks a really BAd Wolf, dont you? We really see in this film the pasion, the respect and love to do things with the heart and sense united. Theres a hope for our humanity in this planet. Two Socks, Cisco, the relashionship with Kicking Bird or the farewell of Wind in his Hair makes this movie a classic film ever. one of my ten favourites
extremely emotional and sensitive to me...reasons are this man I met he is two socks, and I too am two socks, we are comptabile yet we began to not know how to communicate anymore and sadly, oh so sadly our friendship and bond ended just like a snap of a finger....I will cherish this scene always and look at it to remind me of him and US and remind me of our short lived memories and cherish them and him forever, he is now tucked away in my heart sagfely and forever there he shall remain, I luv u
Super vidéo merci a toi, mais à 7"58 la scènes est vraiment horrible se film ma vraiment marquée et montre réellement la cruauté que l'homme peux avoir !
Always loved this movie, one of the few movies I have ever seen more than once at the cinema, saw it three times, own the soundtrack. Love love love the music.... x
when i saw this movie i was screaming and cursing at the top of my lungs at those freaking sons of bitches trying to kill two socks. also i thinkt he wolf at the very end is two socks:)
This movie was a Masterpiece. The transformation of an American Soldier to A Sioux. Ten Bears said it best after the Soldiers were killed and Dunbar had worry about retaliation : "The man they are looking for no longer exists...there is no Soldier named John Dunbar but only a Sioux named Dances with Wolves..:"
Did it ever occur to anyone that in a way the wolf is the mirror image of Dunbar? The wolf slowly changes his perception of people, losing his fear of Dunbar but also of the soldiers which leads to him getting shot. Dunbar loses his fear of indians and is also changed irrevocably, like the wolf his nature is irrevocably changed and his changes put him in danger. Both are exposed to something new and frightening which changes them but also exposes them to new danger.
That is definite good insight. There are a few correlations between the Wolf and Dunbar..Such as how hesitant he was when he first viewed the Wolf, almost shooting it. He mildly had the same attitude when he had his first encounter with the Sioux. As time progressed the Wolf almost became his best friend while still at the fort and as everyone knows, Dunbar would eventually move into the Lakota Nation for good.
I love this film, watched it when I was a child and after 21 years I rediscovered it. It's the most silent and most heart touching Western I've ever seen. Respect for Kevin Costner for putting so much effort into this film to make it unforgettable and to repay a little respect to the Indians who had been nearly wiped from this earth.
I cried when I saw this movie at the theater. I was 12 or 11. The fact that they kill their horse and the wolf, and that he has to leave the tribe so the soldiers don't go after them is really, really sad, it's a movie with a lot of sadness at the end and yet is one of my favorites and it's a beautiful story.
bellisimo montaje, felicitaciones...un bello recuerdo de mi infancia, creo que pocas escenas me han emocionado tanto como la escena final cuando le disparan al lobo, lloré como lo que era: un niño...hoy volví a llorar mientras veía este video
John Barry wrote this and many other Soundtracks for movies and TV. He won 5 Academy Awards and tons of other awards. Sadly, John Barry passed away on January 30, 2011. But his music will live forever, and Heaven now has the greatest conductor known to man for their own orchestra.
I think saving "Two Socks " in the script could be very easy ...but ..for the sake of the money, they push this further ...even we know this was real , at that times, with such savage people ...But , if I could be the producer , I would save "Two Socks" somehow , even for the sake of our hearts....
I would have killed those bastards if I had of been Kevin Costner. Typical of an animal to give unconditional love and loyalty and for man to take it away.

This scene where they mindlessly shoot the wolf.....is one of the most emotive shots in cinema history. (it speaks volumes about human nature).
John Barry's music is so tragic & painful in the original.
