I'm not circumcised and I've never once had a UTI. There is no risk of infection so long as you wash every day, and retracting the foreskin during urination helps a lot as well. Actually the foreskin protects the head of the penis FROM clothing. It's the constant rubbing against clothing and underwear that causes the significant loss in circumcision.
I am restoring my foreskin, and I have felt the difference. I used to think that circumcised sex was great, untill I felt life on the other side. Compared to uncut, to me, circumcised sex is dull.
I think it should be up to the child themselfs to decide.

If hygiene is an argument for circumc'n, then you WOMEN need it more than men. Women suffer five times as many urogential infections as men do (whether the man is cut or not). Go and get your vulva pruned!
Anatomically, males are much better protected from genital infections than females, not just on account of the vulva's folds, but due to the vulva's proximity to the anus - yuck!

I'm not circumcised and I've never once had a UTI. There is no risk of infection so long as you wash every day, and retracting the foreskin during urination helps a lot as well. My parents decided to leave the decision to me once I was old enough to make it, and my wife thanks god they did every night.

If the circumcision was "tight", there is evidence it can restrict the growth of the penis, especially during puberty. A tight circumcision can also give painful erections - or less serious, a bent penis on erection.
Circumcision without the informed consent of the patient is unethical. Parents don´t co-own their children´s genitials. It should not be a parent´s decision to make for their child (unless there is a pressing medical need).

I'm sorry. I know my way around this subject .. since my mom is a nurse and i'm a guy and we're both comfortable enough to talk candidly about this kind of thing. I'm circumcised and it has not restricted growth at all.
I just don't see what the fuss is about with this one little piece of skin. If it's cut off or not why should it matter. You don't remember it ever anyways. I'm not trying to come off as an asshole, but the whole topic of getting attached to foreskin is just ridiculous. SKIN!

Foreskin can even become an unhealthy problem when it can't be pulled back for urination or something of that matter. Then sometimes a circumcision is necessarry. Plus being circumcised, one has a decreased chance of contracting sexual diseases ... which I find to be very advantageous.
