Im a die hard G1 fan and the intro then was great but i like this one better.....also if you stopped watching after the movie, you dont kno what you missed. It actually got better.(until they came out with that beastwars bullshit). Rodimus was always doubting his leadership skills so of course Optimus was better. Tho Rodimus looked way cooler.

Wow really, I actually think the first season intro and outro was by far the best. Then again I am old school and it reminds more of the toys since the Hasbro logo comes out in the outro. I actually stopped watching Transformers after the movie. Just though that Rodimus had nothing on Optimus. And Megatron was better than Galvatron.

Optimus Prime is too perfect. Rodimus is not, he is flawed like a human being, thats why I can relate to him more.

@DjiEnn: Agreed. As Autobot Leader, Rodimus Prime (aka Hot Rod) could not run the ball as hard as Optimus Prime could. Optimus would have still lived in the movie had Hot Rod not interfered with Optimus' final battle with Megatron.

@LosFace55 Megatron is Galvatron. And Optimus Prime returned as leader and saved the world. You should rewatch G1 cuz a lot of cool stuff happens at the end of Season 3/Season 4.

@LosFace55 Completely disagree. Season 3 was a lot darker IMO, no optimus, quintessons meddling, Galvatron going mad etc, besides as much as i like Optimus, he's too perfect at everything which annoys me
