thorn is almost useless though after his injury. The tail is one of the most important pieces of a plane that helps it fly, so the same rule may apply to Thorn.

Yea, you are right. The tail is one of the most important parts on the dragon; I remember in "Eragon" on Eragon's second flight when they meld minds and Eragon feels what Saphira feels. He had been surprized how much she depended on her tail for balance and direction. Although, Galbatorix might come up with a spell to heal him somehow, even if it is dangerous (just like he sped up Thron's growth).

he is not a traitor. it wasnt his fault that thorn hatched for him. poor murtagh. i hope galbatorix dies and murtagh is freed so eragon can thank murtagh for all the times he helped him. if it wasnt for mutagh eragon wouldnt have gotten to the varden. eragon thought he had a hard life. what about murtagh. oaths in the ancient language using a true name are basically unbreakable unless your ture name changes.

I'm afraid that Murtagh will go insane, if you read Brisingr remember how the blind wounded soldier was speaking to Eragon, and they were comparing Murtagh to a glass bottle filled with light that came from other sources and Eragon thought 'And when the bottle breaks...' Meaning that Galbatorix's dark magic might consume Murtagh and control him. I hope that this doesn't happen...
