People who ay Wladimir fights 'bums' and that he just reels off defences against subpar opponents are so wrong. Trust me Ruslan Chagaev was a very well schooled amateur and a successful pro. Wladimir totally dominated him. Eddie Chambers a very skilled elusive heavyweight was dominated and knocked out cold. Samuel Peter, when in shape, is a very very dangerous hard punching former champion. David Haye, former undisputed cruiserweight king, and a WBA champion. You call that fighting bums?

@clovelywindheaven Ah yeah...he did destroy him. Haye didnt win a single round. The score cards gave it to Klitschko by 10! That is an annihilation. Haye was completely defensive and as he is a smaller quicker fighter than 95% of fighters in the HW division that meant he was not likely to get knocked down.

He doesnt deserve a rematch. You should stop listening to what the English media are saying about the fight. All the US journos are saying he was a disgrace and boxed pathetically.

Haye did not get destroyed...What lewis did to Vitali, his face was destroyed...a TKO on the floor would've been destroyed...(please learn the english language better, ty) Wladimir won the fight in a straight forward clinical fasion he won on points through 12 rounds... the fight did not draw massive injuries or incur any punchout knockdowns. It was a boring fight not worth watching imo.

I had a crash last week at the end of my race run. I thought i just hurt my wrist but it turns out i had a broken shoulder as well. I've spent the last two days looking at Klitschko's previous fights.......nothing special...

I dont particularily like Haye.....but if he brings the fight to Klitschko and dodges his right hand it'll be over within 3 to 4 rounds. Klitschko is shown too much respect by his previous opponents.Corrie Sanders(virtually same height and reach) gave Klitschko NO respect and annihilated him....as much as i dont like Haye...I think he'll beat Vladimir!!! and at 13/8 is a GREAT bet!!!

Watch the corrie sanders fight...it didnt prove hard for him!! a jab is only effective at distance. If you get close to your opponent the jab is powerless....inside body shots to make him crumble and then finish him

Wladimir fought a perfect fight. Peter brought a pretty high tempo approach to his attack, but it didn't matter. Klitschko made all the adjustments from the first time they met. He refused to back up when hit, never threw a jab without serious intent, sat down on punches early, and refused to give up the centre of the ring. He pretty much finished the fight with those thunderous right hands in the second round. Peter had a good enough chin to hang around, but the fight was over at that point.

In this fight he found a motivated and relatively sharp puncher looking to do damage with the left hook early. He handled it perfectly. No other HW in the division, including Haye, would have been able to beat Peter this comprehensively. That's a fact. The Haye fight will be totally different, but the positives from this are that Wlad was prepared to unload early.

Every Trainer will tell you, you can only control a fight with a jab which you use to set up your power shot to weaken or take out your opponent. From the lowest divisoin to the highest, its the same rule.Vlad is said, to have the most devasting jab in the history of boxing. hmmm... I don't think Wlad's chin is weak. He took some pretty descent shots in that fight. I mean he is not even putting his chin down in his stance, no guards, no blocking at all.

But!

There's a big difference from taking a slow hard punch that you see, to a fast punch you don't expect.

Haye's chin is weaker than Wlad's, but he is faster, a better counter puncher, better movement.

Wladimir is stronger, has a better range, better physics.

The fight is freaking hard to score!

A win for Vlad will gain him the deserved respect. . Vlad is going to keep him at distance with jabs and at the sametime hit him with power shots from the sound of the bell.
