I cycle as a form of transport and though I've had my fair share of bastard drivers I must say that often cyclists think they have some sort of special privilege on the road. It doesn't make them any less of a vehicle which means they should also be observing all road rules. If you see them as more of a victim because they are not 'protected' by steel, then I see them as more of a LIABILITY towards themselves and others.

But that is the LAW. Being a smaller vehicle does not automatically absolve cyclists from ANY LESS responsibility in safety.
