  • love the work here

  • Is there something special that I can do with the clay to make it as malleable as this seems to be? I get it from the store and its hard as a rock, and after spending hours needing it and ruining my forearms I dont feel like using it anymore. Its like butter!

  • You sir, have truly amazed me. My hats off to you.

  • ahhh... when we get tired our bodies take such a beeting. Thank you

  • Thank you! Very beautiful!

  • At the end, he looks like John Lock in Lost !

  • increible ...

  • This guy knows what he is doing

  • Girls that what cute guys turn into after 40 years becarefull great I love it

  • Wow he doesn't look a second over 4 minutes and 50 seconds.

  • Absolutely wonderful work!

  • This is honestly depressing... I dont want to get old..

  • @BreyMusicTV Than you better have a long deep conversation with Aubrey De Grey.

  • It isnt the Troll Face smile ?

  • absolutamente brutal

  • It's so realistic that it look so creepy,,,

  • That's amazing!

  • 6 people age by sculpting their faces.

  • the difference between sculpting digitally and sculpting physically, is CTRL+Z. That's it. The undo button.

To sculpt in either, you need skill. The computer isn't doing any work for you like some idiots like to think. If you want proof of that, just download the demo version of one of them and see what amazing things you can't come up with due to your lack of skill. Physical and Digital sculpting go hand in hand.

  • @ffles I agree completely. I do a lot of different forms of art, both traditional and digital, but people who see my digital art think that I don't have to use effort to make the stuff I do. If making thing digitally were that easy, it wouldn't be considered art. Hopefully some of those people will catch on...

  • Wow - it would be amazing to create any of these faces with such apparent ease, but the "live 4D" sculpting is very clever...

  • I have done a little sculpting and it takes a large amount of patience, especially working on the eyes and mouth.

  • I am actually watching sculpting videos because they have alot to do with the sculpting in CGI, it's very informative, thank you for this.

  • I wonder what type of clay he's using?

  • superb :)

  • Another year adds another wrinkle to our faces.

  • As much as I love the idea of sculpting (I'm on my way of becoming one), this was quite depressing. Life is too short!!

  • This is really amazing...like wow..He really needs to have good grasp of bone and muscle structure in order to create this. It's just so inspiring.

  • wow.

  • hi. your sculptures are magnificent.. however do you think you can sculpt some figures for me.. please respond...and tell me how much each cost...

  • I'm truly amazed and inspired by your work. I see myself developing another hobby that I can share with my kids.

  • Amazing. I wish I knew and understood the face like that.

  • This makes me feel okay about aging

  • so simple yet to detailed, how the hell does one do this?

  • Handsome guy.

  • while watching dis video i was imagining one day i will too get old like this, but aging is natural...lol hope 2 live young all my life hahahaha

  • I want to watch this video backwards.

  • I embrace aging. I am 23 years old this year and I don;t mind getting older. Who wants to live forever in physical form. I look at myself in the mirror everyday and say to myself I am a day older than I was yesterday and more wiser! You wants to stay young forever I am not 16,17,18,19 anymore but don't mind as I was seriously into mountain biking back then cycling 80 kilometers everyday. I have taken up swimming now I enjoy the aging process it is a unique part of life.

  • @future273 i guess you're right.

  • кажется. что это так легко!

  • fantastic work

  • Dammy all...that crystal meth light diet...getcha every time!

  • what type of clay is he using

  • Amazing...yet so depressing

  • This video is extremely depressing.

  • arcilla polimerica? polimeri clay?

  • arcilla polimerica? polimeri clay?

  • wow

  • 3:40 lol

  • @NubbintheGreat i know right lmao

  • beast mode!!!!

  • The video itself is a work of art. It made me want to cry by the end of it, seeing the person age. Perhaps it's because my grandmother just passed away. I love the smile at the end, though. Gorgeous work.

  • It shows a handsome boy how getting old......

  • Quando le mani sono il prolungamento del cervello e il cervello è in contatto con l' anima......questi i risultati.

  • i love it that you gave him a smile in the end!

    amazing video

  • wow i love you work, you talent u_u!! is amaizing! :O is perfect . thanks $ you video !

  • what a lovely video, makes me imagine how my dad will look in the future awww i love old people theyre so wise and full of experience :)

  • I don't think that wrinkles make people look bad, in fact I think smile lines make people look better! Sure wrinkles won'r make you look like a sterotpyical sexy person but what a person should really be like, happy.

  • teach me teach me

  • I feel like crying because this person is so fucking amazing.

  • bravo

  • Brilliant work.

  • I really love how he put the smile on at the end.

great art skills and a full sense of emotions and expression.

    thanks for sharing your art

  • Lovely to see someone who appreciates the beauty of ageing and that it is something that can be celebrated.

  • u are so awesome!!!

  • you have a unique eye when it comes to detail and emotion

  • YOU can REVERSE AGEING says a Indian Yogi, just by clearing your subconscious mind!!

Yes, Face is the index of mind not the body!!!!!!!

Thoughts and memories hinders sleep, sleep depreviation changes the frequency at which you vibrate and causes ageing.

We are NOT what we eat, we are the set of memories that makes the body vibrate in a particular frequency. Very interesting ebook. Type "liveinmatrix" in GOOGLE and follow the first link

  • i am studying this in skool recently our teacher showed the meth-amorphis one...woow that is creepy...but this one was really good i loved it ....nd dis was my h/w...wow for the first time i had sum easy art h/w...lol.z ;)

  • I enjoyed seeing that frown turned upside down at the end. ;D Amazing work!

  • Absolutely amazing. This artist has some serious skills, I someday hope to be able to sculpt this well =D

  • Amazing work

  • scary that sculpture looks like me lol. Now i know what I'll look like when i'm 100 lol.

    Amazing work!

  • Agreed..There was a certain emotional attribute to this video which made me feel sad.. probably because of the choice of music.. Excellent aging process though. A true artist in every sense of the word. Thanks for sharing

  • wow this video makes me sad about age and time

  • yeah baby

  • Truely talented, the process is fascinating

  • wow!!

  • my bro and this vid is inspiring me to become a sculpter. it is just amazing what these people can do....

  • this is fantastic it is just amzing in love with ur work amazing.

  • This is one of the most amazing videos I've ever seen - the sculptor, AMAZING! O.O

  • woow

    unbelieve!!!!

    congratulations

  • How does the brain age?

  • FACE IS THE INDEX OF MIND NOT THE BODY, we can reverse your age by clearing our subconscious mind says an Indian author.

type "liveinmatrix" in GOOGLE and follow the first link to know the secret.

  • from the jawline to the sunken eyes, amazing detail, great post

  • Gosh, it's like I'm seeing my life sculpted before my eyes... But I do think I looked more like a weirdo when I was younger, so not all bad. :)

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds strange, but I liked it more when he made it smile...:-)

  • Very capable hands, but how depressing. How about this? You sculpt me with reverse aging back to when I was 18.

  • This growing old debate in my opinion growing old sucks ..your the same person always inside that dont change.

but ya cant party hard at all and have to take afternoon naps he he.

Grow old discracefully thats my tip even if i gotta strap myself on to my motorcycle im still gonna burn rubber

  • that is very nice!

    wow....

  • yes he looks cartoony he should have stopped when looks a bit younger. What is he using to model clay?

  • Vc é féra cara, muito bom mesmo; Estou pasmo!

  • One of the lovely things about this is that it's all done by hand. No computer programmes or CGI rendering just human talent and skill. Thanks for posting this.

  • @CaptScruffywhiskers CGI is done by hand, it is just a different medium

  • @CaptScruffywhiskers Actually I think it's THE only lovely thing about it. This is hard to teach and someone like him is one and a million people. My personal favorite thing about sculpting is that you can use and reuse clay over and over again as long as it doesn't dry up. You can't do that with a painting or a drawing. It's classic too. Sculpting with clay will never go out of style.

  • @CaptScruffywhiskers it still take talent and skill on the computer the principle is the same....

  • @CaptScruffywhiskers What a lame, its always all about the "human talent and skill"? i think its a great video, skilled one sculpture or not, a great video

  • @CaptScruffywhiskers CGI does never get better then the hands behind the computer.

  • @CaptScruffywhiskers Men, computer rendering is not that easy, use your hands to work is quite easier than using a mouse and a keyboard, don't underestimate "computers work" because computers do nothing, try to use a simple free software called 3DWings, is the easier that I know but stills quite hard, You've got more precision yes, but move every vertex is a hardest work

  • @CaptScruffywhiskers

using computer programs or cgi still requires multiple layers of talent and skill. it requires being able to picture something and to make it appear 3d in a 2d space.

  • @CaptScruffywhiskers No matter what medium, it is not the tools that make you a better sculptor but the experience and hard work. A traditional sculptor will have no trouble creating something like this in CGI once he/she knows the tools which can be learned in a few months. A CG sculptor/modeler, too, won't have to spend too much time applying the knowledge he's been doing digitally to traditional sculpting once the process is known. A digital sculpture is done by hand as well (tablet).

  • It probably happens that fast in God's eyes too.

  • Thats sad. It sucks how we get old. Im 30 now and wish I was 20 again!

  • its only sad when you make it you got to live forward and never look back im 16 and at times wish i could go back but know its not worth wishing and should always look forword or only bad can come

  • Well, look at it this way, getting old is better than not getting old.

  • I was thinking it would be very sweet and meaningful if with age came happiness.... and just as i thought that you added a smile... beautiful :D

  • Thank you for sharing. Very creative :D

  • great work..!!

  • that is beauitufl.

  • Thats kinda sad. But really good.

  • This music and Philippe Faraut's amazing ability to capture the the human body in clay go well together. It becomes less of watching an incredible talent, but more of watching ourselves grow old.

This is an incredible, INCREDIBLE talent from both artists in his way. This video makes me miss the youth I had, appreciate the age I have now, and hope that I can be at the same level of peace in an age I've yet to encounter.

    Bravo.

  • what is the song?, someone please tell me. Sendme mp.

  • Great video of how to make a sculpture. Would like to see more of these and to learn from your work. Excellant work!

  • Fantastic video of the sculpting process. Can we see more? What kind of clay are you using?

  • I'm pretty sure it's WED clay.

  • Brilliant.

Your skill is practically beyond human.

  • what kind of clay do you use??

  • WOW!

  • unbelevaible, amazing, ...no words

  • amazing work

  • Wow! It goes from a neutral young boy, to a happy old man!

  • wow!!!!!!! i tryede its really hard!

  • is that just normal clay?

  • INCREIIIIIIIIIIBLE

  • wow u really know the human face. so clever. 5 stars!

  • Amazing job

  • You did such a great job, this movie made me happy, I don't know why it just did. You had a great idea when you decided to make a movie about the process of getting old and combine it with sculpture. Congrats!!!

  • impresionante! por favor, podrías comentarnos qué tipo de arcilla utilizas?

    qué manos tienes por dios!!

  • you are amazing

  • Fascinating, entertaining, mesmerizing.....and made me feel very very sad...........

  • incrível!!!!

  • too bad we can't stay young forever...

  • aging is good too. we get to see our children grow, and our grand children.

  • i'm really afraid of getting old.

when i was achild i used to be afraid of old people

  • That was so moving. I've watched as my wife's parents age, noticing when the moment ctaches you how their faces have changed - how we all change - slowly but surely over time.

You perform your art with such sensitivity. What a great observer of life you must be...

  • what kind of clay is this?

  • ...amazing he was so on the dot with every aspect...the enlarging of the jaw, the drooping of the nose, the sagging of the chin palate, the sagging of the ear lobes..everything lol

  • He was self-taught.

  • I´am very scared to get old...

  • I LOVE IT SO MUCH

  • you are amazing and inspiring!!

  • hmmmm, Okay???? Trying to be so intellectual hahaha

  • You bring up a stupid and anoying debate, I personaly see more art in this than a dude who shits in a can, or one who puts a toilet in an art show.

  • That... wasn't discrimination. Like... not even a little bit, man. Your responce to such a simple, and in my opinion, true comment is just completely mindblowing.

    (Were you joking?)

(I almost hope you were. xD)

  • man that dude is a beast

  • Incredible!!!

  • WOW! Thats an artist!

  • wow...

  • Wow,you are amazing! What kind of clay did you use?

  • this guy must be an expert in anatomy

  • Beautiful! you are so talented. To see and feel the ways of change is seen right before our eyes. I used to sculpt also so I know what goes into it.You make it look so easy even though it is not. Do you know what kind of clay would be best for this? and how much? Keep creating many more....Peace love

  • getting old sucks...

  • Beautiful work! Your portraits really show emotion and personality. You're a great inspiration.

  • Looks like Aristotle.

  • se parece a mi abuelo haha

  • Sehr beeindrückend. Es ist ihm noch besser gelungen als ich erwartet hätte!

  • Sensacional

  • wow that was incredable

  • From a teenager, to right before you die, in four minutes.

  • This video is artistic in so many ways.

  • this is so beautiful it made me cry :)

  • Yeah.. This is gorgeous. And the music is absolutely perfect. Wow.. This has inspired me so much. :)

  • Right on

  • Beautiful, and informative. Thank you so much! Me? I'm glad I'm aging. More interesting features to discover than on a smooth, young, face, and also more exciting to find out how one can work on oneself so as to enjoy growing old. Don't fret. It's not that bad ... :) I actually enjoy it.

  • Beautifully done of course..but..getting old is a bitch...this is depressing the hell out of me..

  • wow watched all the vids. ur really good. keep up the good work, but u probably dont need me to tell u this.
