  • Sounds great. Similar to "Single Pigeon", "Martha My Dear" - all those McCartney fans love, and Joe Public hasn't got a clue about. I am glad I have a clue. :)

  • I don't think I've ever heard if there is one particular song he cited as influence. He just had songs where he just paid tribute to his own Father's love for Dixieland (pre-Swing) Jazz.

  • Wasn't it a Fred Astaire song in a movie that inspired McCartney to write this old school song? Can't remember which song it was, but Macca did mention that when asked why he made a song like this in contrast to all his other rock and pop stuff. Most versatile singer/songwriter ever.

    Oh, and Audrey Hepburn. Every time I see that face I light up.

    Yesterday, I was visiting the Hauptbahnhof of Berlin in Germany, to see her exposition.

    It's great and wonderfull. Many photos and Privat Things.

    It's plaisir for us...

    I can only say go there if it possibel.
