Man,Suhr guitars sound amazing through just about anything,lol.Ive been playing Ibanez RG.,Jem series,Ernie Ball music man,And Fenders,And just got a Suhr modern24purple Nova with HSV,bridge,and SSV p/up in the neck,dont know what it is but it is much cleaner than ANY other guitar I own at high gain and D.B levels.And amazing balance and light weight for those long sessions.Expensive but wow what a guitar.I own over 20 guitars all kinds,and the Suhr smakes them all.

Smokes sorry.But anyway yeah IMO Suhr makes one of the nicest guitars out there.I dont have any junk guitars,and when I plugged this guitar in I was simply blown away.And again the first time I played with a band with it at really high D.B levels.This thing is awesome.

Yeah, they are great. I own a Suhr Standard myself, and it is a monster of tone!

The only thing a Suhr can't replace is that cool vintage sound from a strat singlecoil. Or a 335 humbucker. But if you like a modern clean sound, it is an awesome instrument. Luckily I have both a SUhr and a strat :)

I love the look of this Suhr. What's the middle single coil pickup?

It's the FL single-coil. The special 5-way is wired so that you get auto-split of the humbuckers in the 2nd and 4th positions when combined with the middle single-coil. Plus, Carl's guitar has a push-pull to get the split mode of the neck humbucker on its own, which is another very useful sound.

Totally brilliant! I hear a mix of all the greats - Holdsworth, EJ, Beck, SRV, Morse. Just fantastic guitar playing and band. I have all of Carl's cd's and I saw he is endorsing Suhr now on his website. I have been thinking about getting a Suhr myself. They seem to have really great players on their artist roster.
