  • The attempt to win them over is not just worthwhile because you might win them over. It's worthwhile because even if you don't change the aggressors...the attempt to do so has a positive impact on onlookers.

  • Gandhi must have felt that way because he had nothing to hide, as should the liberty movement. Interesting story I liked it.

  • My opinion, most cops, guards and soldiers suffer greatly from the violence around them, dealing with psychopaths, and the necessity of violating the rights of others constantly in their jobs which does a great deal to create guilt. If one has to abuse people as part of one's job, one can slide into a psychopathic behavior that becomes an attack response to anyone who opposes them. The solution is to abolish "color of law" statutes used to enslave and abuse people. Statutes are for corporations.

  • My next door neighbor is a state prison guard. OCD control freak....cu-koo 4 coco-puffs. seems worse as time goes by. Raising the next generation to do the same thing, seen him physically hurt his son, and now I notice that's how the boy trains his puppy. Don't chain the dog...hit it when it runs off. Violence solves everything. Sad.

  • You CANT win them over today - they are required to polygraph every 6 months at minimum. There are likely other methods of control used also. If you know their families ask them what kind of personality changes they have gone through since taking the job.
