Its okay that these interviewers are taking this track. Amma would not mind, as you see, she smiles, laughs with them and continues on. It is alright, really. At least they are not being negative although it is a shame they didn't do their research and acknowledge that most of the money accumulated actually ends up in the hands of those it is meant to assist (unlike many traditional charities).

Here in Santa Fe, New Mexico the Amma Ashram gives out bean burrito lunches with some chips and baby carrots and a juice box and a desert every Sunday at the Salvation Army. I have been eating them because I haven't been able to get work. It's the only love I get on a weekly basis. Thank you Amma Chi! I love you.

Today I got a hug from Amma in LAX. Not sure what I yet think of the entire movement and the cynic is me has to question what their angle is. However, I must say the energy of the hundreds I saw there seemed genuine and peaceful. When I received my hug fro Amma, she saw (by my light blue sticker) that I was new. First GMA seems to try to reduce Amma's work to "just giving hugs", and reduce the followers to "just wanting a hug". It's promoted by this large media because the precepts that Amma likely follows and promotes are unpalatable to the consumerist mass of viewers. They also managed to throw in a pitch for the minuscule "Judaism" (for Gerald Levin?).

Hey, it's the Kali Yuga. You think that's bad? You should see how they teach "Hinduism" in school. It's a month's course in Middle School where they mock Sanatana Dharma and talk about false interpretations that NO Hindu accepts (such as Indra being the Supreme God and not Lord Shiva). They basically preach Max Mueller's "Hinduism".
