You can't say that either Megumi or May'n is a better singer. Here's the reasons: two completely different styles of singing. You can't compare the two of them. It's like apples and oranges. Quite frankly, they are both amazing singers. If you don't think that Megumi can hit high notes, just listen to Aimo a couple of times. It's supposed to be breathy. It's that kinda song.

@mosmangafreak Yes, when you listen to the whole song, it really seems like Ranka did better than Sheryl. However, Ranka sang makes me feel there is no emotion in her voice. Only cute songs suit Ranka. When May'n sings "What 'bout my star" it sounds deeper than it is when Megumi (?) sings it.

@sandaluxu231 Although what you say is true, the Macross and Gundam franchises should not be compared against each other. They have different styles and purposes. Macross focuses on the Music and Love aspects of 'war' and space travel. Gundam focuses on the People in Wars, and how war effects us and the next stage of human evolution. At least I speak of only Gundam's UC universe.

Macross was directed by a Gundam Fanatic, Noboru Ishiguro (yeye mr Astroboy and Yamato...to name the most famous), with a lot of ppl involved in the Mobile Suit Gundam Serie (designers, art ppl, scripter, key animators, and seiyus), ahh plus one young animator in his first job after the University.
