Rush is amazing!! When they first came out I would tell people there is only 3 member's in the band, and they wouldn't believe me. Still epic to this day.
RUSH is the greatest band of all time. Why is this even debated? They have kicked ass since the 70's.They have the BEST Drummer,Bassist and Guitar player EVER.'Nuf said.
I keep reading about all these people who say that Rush's music is hard to remember just 5 minutes later. Are you kidding me!? Rush has some of the most memorable tunes I have ever heard! Next I'll hear that Queen's songs are forgettable too. That's just rediculous. Another thing to remember: 3 guys. Just three guys! And they can still put out higher quality music than 99% of the music industry. They're all geniuses. How anyone can think the guitar is boring on this song I'll never know.

nahhh !!!....just a lot of equipment and a self-centred drummer - guitarist bores me-5mins after I cant remember - what they just played - all mixed up I'll stick with Beatles, Clapton and Neil Young and the likes - real songs - not this overblown clabberjabber like Genesis. (now i've heard this song , how did it go again ? ) ummmmm
Adolf wtf are you talking about... Alex is one of the greatest guitarist alive and people say he sucks because he doesn't play blistering 32nd notes... makes me sick.. Alex playes the most amazing chords and catchy riffs ever. And neil is anything but self centered... the fact he lost his wife and daughter and is still making fans happy like this is mind blowing... But w/e maybe rush just isn't for you :\
How can you call Neil Peart self-centered? I am sure that after losing his wife and daughter in a year he would be fine without playing in the band, but he comes back to please fans all over the world. That's just a low blow.
And how is this overblown? Rush is one of the most underrated bands of all time. They have one of the top 3 drummers and bassists of all time, as well as a top 10 guitarist, yet they haven't been inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Nowhere close to overblown.
Man, you fail on sooooo many levels it's not even funny. Although I guess that it's not that surprising for someone as simple minded as you. God forbid that the music you listen to actually makes you think a little bit.
I love Canada,Rush, hockey etc.,But I must tell this joke."Why do Canadians do it Doggy style?"...So they can both watch the Hockey game!"I love Canada.God bless the USA and Canada. The greatest neighbors ever!.

The Bass guitar is NOT the 'Main" instrument. Even though it may sound like that here. Do yourself a favor and rent or buy the R30 DVD and watch it with a good sound system. Granted there are some RUSH songs that lean more toward one instrument at a given time. But often they interchange. That is just one of the many aspects that make Lifeson, Lee and Peart absolutely brilliant.
"A" main instrument, not "the" main instrument, just saying it's not some crappy background bass line, and not saying the guitar/drums are not important in Rush.
It makes me feel good to see how three guys can make it big like that (especially with a bass guitar being a "main" instrument and an awesome drummer!) Rush is AWESOME!!!

Bonham was ok but Alex van halen? Lol, i must ask how many shrooms are you on???? Keith moon? Mike portnoy? Phil collins? Buddy fucking rich? Alex is a clutz lol. Nicko mcbrain rips him apart, and neil kills all competition.

I love Neil,he is probably my favorite but he is not the best rock drummer, he plays a little too stiff and does annoying things.

neil is very relaxed. his parts aren't the easiest and he's playin them like it's no big deal

He's got a shitload of drums, and he plays them well.
