hi :D i have this beauty camara and a few days ago my camera was normal, i just stop using it a long time and the last time it said the battery was discharged and a few days later when I wanted to use it, it would not start. I put a load and no longer charge or turn on :( i dont know what it can be or what to do. i hope you can help me

@pikanova A Lithium battery needs to have a charge in it before charges, the camera is designed to die before the battery drains to far, You must have left a near dead battery in the camera and i died out. The camera is good you just need to buy a new battery for $10 on ebay that should fix it.

Jake here,so I picked this camera up and yes it does work with Mac you turn it on and connect the USB and Iphoto opens right up. It does only have a 12 mb internal memory which is only 19 sec in HD or 36 sec in VGA or 2 pics at 5 megapixel. Even though it has a low light setting the camera works poorly in low light however outdoor recording is very good,Swivel head makes it easy to handle,no EIS unfortunately(get a tripod). I scored mine for $59 & change Canadian brand new. Later

According to the Sony website, it is compatible with Mac :) Or at least, your Mac will see it as an 'external hd' so maybe you can't use to Sony software, but you can get your pic's and vid's off of it. (I'm not 100% sure, so don't blame me if it isn't compatible!!)

yes you can get 480p 720p 1080p video from this camera the Flip only has 720p and this camera has way more options then the Flip Ultra HD

If this is called a Webbie, based on the users who like to do self-filmed video, why is the mic on the front side of the camera and not (also) on the side that the screen is on??

I bought one... yes it picks you up very clear from behind it... it actually sounds deeper and fuller... it has a built in condenser microphone so the audio is superb!

The camera comes with a charger that has a folding prong that plugs directly into the wall.... The battery has to be removed from the camera and placed in the charger.. you can record 2 1/2 hours of 1080p on an 8 gig sd card. Or you can take 3000 5mp photos on an 8 gig card!

its has very little built in memory... enough to hold 3 minutes of video.... so you need to buy a memory card... i bought an 8gig one and it holds over 2 hours of 1080p HD video... if i drop it down to 720P HD video it can hold over 4 hours.. and 720p is still damn nice! All that is really irrevelant tho since the battery only holds enough charge to record for 90 minutes! Plenty of time for youtube'n.... It also has a webcam feature and it streams really well in low light!

it's cheaper, smaller, better memory expansion, higher resolution, cooler composition, movable lense, rechargable battery, can be a webcam.

the only things i don't like: i personally prefer sd cards over sony memory sticks. but you can get used to it.

the screen is a tad smaller, but not noticably smaller, or too small.

just to say, 1440x1080 resolution is NOT FullHD. FullHD has a resolution of 1920x1080. 1440x1080 is somewhere in between 720p and 1080p.

Your an idiot! 720p and 1080p are both HD! Infact, there is not one HD cable channel that broadcast in 1080P yet, all cable HD channels broadcast in either 720p or 1080i.

 Actually, experts agree that you cannot tell the difference between 720p and 1080p unless the screen size is bigger the 52''. I have a 46'' HD samsung and I can't tell the difference in res from my cable channels (720p or 1080i) to my Blu Ray (1080p)! It's people like you who need to stay off of the keyboard!

There is NO INTEGRATED MEMORY. They are completely wrong about that. You NEED a memory stick to record more than a few seconds of video. There is only a 12MB buffer on board, not enough to store any video.
