  • Reporter: Michael, you okay to go on? You're obviously very emotional about this. Why does mean so much to you?

Michael: Ask me another question please.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! HOW ABSOLUTELY OBTUSE AND RUDE WAS THIS REPORTER? My Lord, man. I would be willing to wager that Michael Schumacher would have been willing to give all his wins back if it would mean Senna hadn't died. Could they not have taken a break?

  • the reporter is... I can't explain it..

He can't understand how Michael is feeling about Senna.

The crash was before I was born, but I think everyone has already lost a person who is in his or her heart forever.

The reporter is really a jackass.

Sorry for bad english. I'm german.

  • Mika: A little bit, not much but enough!

  • @Arkansis Exactly, this is Mika being him. Michaels brother is on the other side, but he is doing nothing but hiding himself (well it is his bigbrother who smallbrothers usually look as well as something of a stronger one) Mika raises his hand and points the cameras to him to protect his biggest rival in the sports, put then he comes to find he does not have anything to say. Well, smalltalk is not something that is taught in Finnish schools.

  • Mika was there. The day Senna crash. He won third place

  • what said Mikka in Finnish?

  • This emotional breakdown on Michael's part is totally justified... Keep in mind he was on that same top step of the podium when Senna died on that same circuit in '94... As was Mika! All in all, the journalist, even if he's just doing his job, is still an insensible douche... A moment of silence would have been appropriate in rememberance; that would have reinforced this as being the best tribute to Senna in conjunction to Michael's tears...

  • @NoirPolar Well, I'm pretty sure this was at Monza while the Senna accident was at Imola. But apart from that, you're absolutely right!

  • @NoirPolar Let's also not forget Schumacher was behind Senna when he crashed. So he was closer than anyone. And yes, the reporter is a douche.

  • THAT reporter is the biggest piece of shit in f1 history!!

  • 4:05 what did he say?

  • @ASSHOLELA he said: sry there doesnt come a lot to my mind today. in terms of he doesnt know what to say and so on.

  • He is human after all.

  • reporter = asshole

  • They say no one is bigger than the sport they play... I think Ayrton put that saying to bed....

  • Mika is such a gentleman

  • mika: go to ralph

ralph: fuck no, go to mika

    mika: go to ralph

ralph: fuck yea, some attention is not bad after all.

  • I think than Michael remember Senna , I mean Schummy´s hero was Senna

  • mika is always cool and collected

  • mika....everytime cool 1:11

  • omg, does this reporter have any sense? he should be shot, literally.

  • Thats so rude how the reporter pushed through the interview. Forget being professional what about being a human and stepping in saying we are done for today.

  • 0:52 Ralf's reaction is like WTF??!! Then, yeah he realizes Senna actually crashed in front of Schumacher. It all makes honest sense, we can really understand MS's break down.

  • Michael is actually a pretty decent guy, but the media makes him look like an ass.

  • anyone going to give a thumbs up to Ralph for taking the light off Micheal?

  • Is this reporter retarded he can't see why this means so much to Micheal.

  • sorry im quite new to racing can someone please explain to me why schumacher became so upset?

  • @THFCJosh because of Ayrton Sennas deathcrash in 1994.

  • @Classe84 No, he's mom was a week ago dead

  • @scuderiadylan his mother died before the 2003 San Marino Grand Prix not just before this

  • 3:39 Stupid reporter...

  • Poor Michael. He raced with such A great man. He handled it alot better than I would have

  • haha yeah sorry got that kinda wrong: its hakkinen obviously. sorry bout that, i was watching kimi videos now :P

  • love kimi: he's like "can't we have a break?" stupid reporter.

  • Ralph was grinding out a nostril burger at 0:40.......

  • This is why Schumi and Hakkinen are both so ridiculously awesome.

  • I think the reporter did his job very well. When Schu became overcome with emotion he began asking the others questions, but it still allowed F1 fans to share an emotional moment with the drivers.

    Good job.

  • It wasn't about win,but about feels..No wonder he cried, because Senna was legendary F1 driver and always will.

  • if ever you wanted to hit a reporter, that was it

  • I can't believe this interview continued after Schumacher broke down and to ask why it meant so much to him.....what an unbelievably dumb/unthinking question to ask. Michael was right behind Senna when he died of course this achievement made him so emotional.

  • What did michael say in german?

  • @PurpleSteelman He says thank you for the team and all those who made the victory possible.

  • If I was Michael I would be crying too, beating a Legend and a close friend... and knowing that that will never change :/

  • why is ralf the dick head now what did he hath to do he could hardly say piss of leave us alone on a live interview wtf men come on !

  • For the dickheads :

if you notice Careley : you can notice the sentences :

    - Häkkinen : can't we have a break?

    - Reporter to Ralf : Keep the press talking!

And he did, yes, but, ok...

  • Come on guys, you can be pissed, but looking at the facts :

    - Michael shouldn't be that emotional on a live press conference...

    - Mika and Ralf BOTH tried to avoid it, but like said, the reporter had to keep te live session going, because the world was watching.

Even though i'm not a fan of M. Schumacher, i won't bash him for this, he just went emotional, it WAS a mistake for a pro F1 driver, but hey, it could happen everyone...

    Greets

  • @EHVMichael Are you slightly retarded?

The man was fucking crying, you think a person should put their emotions on hold just because someone is asking him questions?

    Fuck me you're a moron.

  • @EHVMichael WHAT THE FUCK MAN? GETTING EMOTIONAL IS A MISTAKE? LOL! I WILL KILL YOUR FRIEND AND THEN I'D RECORD IT AND THEN I'D LIKE TO SEE IF YOU WOULD HOLD IT AND NOT BEING EMOTIONAL. SCREW THE PRESS

  • wat did mika say b4 he said that ralf could continue?

  • @dnyimu98 He says "Can we have a break?"

  • I cried to

    that reporten is an dickhead

is this about the death of Ayrton Senna?????????????

  • Not the reporters fault he was just doing his job asking for information about the race which is the reason these conferences are held

  • Who would want to behind the guy who was a legend and see them die. Then equal their wins tally is just 2 much to filter. Classic moment by Mika Hakkinen and Ralf was showing that brothers, although rivals show that they still close. Still Ayeton Senna is a GREAT fucking legend. RIP senna. Cry in peace Schumacher

  • Mika is like.......

    WHAT THE FUCK!!!

  • "Michael why does this mean so much to you?"

Really... do u actually have to ask that.

  • "Do you believe Michael had the faster car?" HAHAHAHA !!! Is that a freakin' question ?!? This is why the media is said to have no heart :)) Asshole!

  • Yeah I just watched the video of the sae two guys,Mika and Michael, on the podium following Sennas death in the Immola race. Its obviously a painful memory for Michael with emotions running high.

  • Sometimes you just don't cry right away, when something bad happens you are often too shocked to express any feelings. It's too unreal at that moment and it all comes back to mind and overwhelmes you later. On this day, 6 years after that horrible event where Senna and Ratzenberger died in crashes they are back in italy and both Michael and Mikka are again on the podium. It's like a deja vu for them and there is no reason to doubt the emotions. That's pointless and stupid.

  • @darkappentice71 the reason why we all think the reporter is a tosser is because the day Senna died , Schumacher won the race. Then he asks him during this race he equaled Senna´s recored. For once Schumacher is human .. I for once feel for the guy

  • I don't get it, why is the reporter so bad?

  • Koska saunavihta puri yhtäkkiä perseeseen.

  • Michael should have stood up and said: "Shut the fuck up you senseless wanker! Can't you see im crying over the death of my best friend?"

  • @MCLambfat

Ayrton Senna died you idiot can't you listen?!

  • @naruto9500 Not for the died of Ayrton but because Michael had reached the record of victories of Ayrton Senna.

  • Why is he crying?

  • i think you could cut the interviewer a little slack for mentioning the equal victorie because he didnt know schumi would start crying, but the took it to far asking him why it meant so much.

  • Schumi you aren't my favourite driver but...*sniffles*

  • Strange how he didnt cry on the podium at imola 2003, the day his mom died

  • Schummmmmiiii !

  • Say what you want about Michael, but on that day he became human to me. I've had a great deal of respect for him since.

  • unbelievable , how you can ask this question to one of these drivers who was behind senna when this horrible crash happened and actually after this horrible crash in monza ? this report have no flair. i think in this moment the robot schumacher became to humanly schumacher .

  • most of you people havent got a clue what happened in the race, a marshall was killed

  • ...Remember a commisary died on that GP ..in an accident caused by Schumacher...he learned that just before the interview...and when the journalist talked about senna's record that was too much for him...

  • @viragefoch Yes its true. I think Hans Harald Frenzen was in the crash.

  • @viragefoch Well what I've read Schumi didnt know about that until AFTER this interview....in my understanding he just cried, because first of all he had some difficult races before this, there was lot of pressure to get succesful result, especially at the front of all the Ferrari fans...and with this win all that pressure bursted out, especially when he had the same amount of wins as Senna.

  • One of the best moment from Schumacher, this emotional storm on live coverage, unbealiveble

  • stupid interviewer. 'why does this mean a lot to you?' dickhead, this guy has no heart.

  • That reporter was a right prick!

  • why does it mean so much to him, maybe because he saw senna diie

  • @djthornly Nah, Michael Schummi Schumacher has BIPOLAR EFFECTIVE DISORDER, for life, hence the tears. There is no cure for that unfortunate condition, I was born with it you see?!!

  • he cries cause he equalled senns's record.....he saw him die in front of him ...

  • @GauravLADWAL Not exactly. If you followed that season you know, that Schumacher was under extreme pressure by that time. Some very hard weeks laid behind him. Like he said at the beginning of the press conference, he felt pretty exhausted. The question about Senna and equalizing his record was then the last trigger to cause some kind of mental breakdown. It was so remarkable because most people thought Schumacher simply couldnt ever show such emotions.

  • why he cries

  • The press are just leeches aren't they. A man is falling apart before them and they couldn't give a fuck

  • crocodile tears

  • @csillagharcos29 this is the 2000 Italian Grand Prix, from Monza

  • @csillagharcos29 this is the 2000 Italian Grand Prix, from Monza

  • which year & race was this one??

  • Mika and Schumacher: not rivals that hated eachother, but rivals that were friends and had extreme respect for eachother. I wish drivers of today were more like that, most people in F1 nowadays just fling shit at eachother

  • why would mika think he'd be good at answering questions??

  • this scene shows the respect and emotions between the drivers. real emotions. keep it in your hearts

  • THAT REPORT IS A DICK.

  • He was payed for be a dick

  • Its easy to tell Schumacher knew that question was coming and didn't want to answer it. Also, for those who criticize Ralf, I don't think any man, no matter what age they are, can properly handle their older brother bursting into tears without any warning.

  • he saw senna dieing in front of him and he didnt realised that senna is dead untill after the race...and all those things came up at these interview...f1 drivers are like a big family...so he cryies because he saw one of his brothers dieng....probably his thought is that he pushed senna to hard to get a chance to overtake him in this race...we dont know..but its sad..

  • why the fuck did the reporter have to mention senna?? the media are always looking for something to spice things up!

  • guys wasnt that the race where one clerk at the raceway died because he was hit by something???

i think thats why hes crying ....

  • @RafLovesMary probably, they didn't know that at the moment of the press conference,so I also think the cause of his emotion was reaching the Senna's victory record. Michael is also human. Those were good days for F1. We need more of this and less of that shitty manufacturers and FIA politics.

  • maybe he remembered how Ayrton Senna car crashed in fornt of him... maybe thats why he was crying

  • When i looked at schumacar with red eyes ... it hit me .. id like to drive a F1 car while High ...

  • Is Mika crying too? can't tell

  • Why the fuck is he crying?

  • @HabboCT tears of joy since he has just as many wins as his hero, Ayrton Senna

  • @hejjagedu ah! thanks

  • @HabboCT senna was one of his closest friends, and possebly his icon, as many of us think senna is... so having the same amount of vics, yeah thats ... amazing at least

  • that presantator is such a twat !

  • Haha, look at Ralf at 0:59

  • @blainyrules he is such a great brother. lol

  • Just think of the number of victories Senna would have today...I would say that he would have gotten another championship before retiring. I miss watching Senna race, even 17 years later. He was my 1st favorite driver.

  • XD Someone throw a towel to Ralf...

  • I'm feeling sorry for everyone there, Micheal is crying, the journalist is forced to continue asking questions, while the other 2 drivers just have to sit there.

  • What a FAAAAAG!!!

  • we miss you so much M. Hakkinen....

  • only bcuz he said senna, they were like bestfriends

  • mika is so smart idoes't want to give comment.sorry can u reapit

  • 13 people don't know who Ayrton Senna is !

  • I have got one of those caps that Hakkinen is wearing :)

  • I totaly understand Michael, he saw a death of one of the best driver, his friend...

  • We all miss MIKA. Great driver. Schumi's greatest adversary from Michael himself. Both World Champions and both classy drivers.

  • ralf doesnt know to react to a crying brother

THAT F*CK*N REPORTER ON THE OTHER HAND

we should kill a friend of his and when he beats that guy on years of reporting we should ask him how he feels

  • @iceflame700 Are we talking about the same Schumacher who joyfully celebrated his victory at Imola on the day that Ayrton died?

  • @Laceyktm He has already stated that all he was ever told on the podium was that Senna was in a comma, which didn't necessarily mean death. He said that he refused to accept Senna's death until 2 weeks later. So when you see him talking he isn't in the state of mind that Senna was dead...just very badly injured. Also, they didn't celebrate, hell, they didn't even finish the national anthems or spray champaign...they just went through the motions very non sealant.

  • Everybody who thinks Ralf and the Reporter are assholes thumbs up!

  • @Trancemastaa Ralf did nothing wrong... he was comforting his brother for most of that so he's not a dick, and the reporter was just doing his job he can't just stop in a press conference, if it was just an interview that wasn't live then I'm sure he wouldn't have carried on.

  • @Trancemastaa Why is Ralf an asshole??

  • @Trancemastaa These thumbs up fishing comments are pretty stupid, so no. Down for this one.

  • @Trancemastaa Dude, why would Ralf be an asshole?? He just answered the question that the reporter was asking. Atleast he had said something for the two guys beside him. It would be ashame seeing 3 drivers cry?? Isn't?

  • This was the time when there still was some emotion in F1 and drivers with some heart.

  • Comment removed

  • Schumi was emotional because he had the clearest, first hand view on anybody in the World of the accident that killed his hero, Ayrton Senna.

When he equalled Senna's record, it obviously struck a nerve. Schumi is pure class and no hater can deny it.

  • Mika got away with the interview

  • hahaha i love ralf's reaction!!!!

  • seriously... Mika's the one comforting michael and even asked for a break.. ralf's like "Wow, what a pussy" ... for god's sake that your brother man.

  • @Haippitus

At 0:59 he's actually pointing that the camera man should move to Mika, because he saw that Michael wasnt able to continue.. Must've been a rough situation. All the drivers can only sit there, and the press cant stop the interview because its their job. :s

  • There is respect in the air ! Senna <3

  • "umm..go to ralf, ralf can continue"....LOL!!! what a dude!!

  • hakkinen and schumacher were both on the podium that day at imola when senna died, and schumacher was directly behind ayrton when he wrecked. neither were aware of the fact that he had passed until much later, so this must have been a very emotional day for the both of them

  • formula sucks nowadays... the cars have so much differences...

i think all the drivers should be put in a equally excactly the same car, and see who really can drive.

  • @Azonicable Then there would be absolutely no point to have the constructor's championship. Design in a car is what makes a team great as well. If everyone was in the same car, it wouldn't be much different from Nascar and that is indeed a bad thing.

  • @shinhawk from that angle yes, but if u really think about it, u can see that vettel can drive, cause hes alwayse on the top three, otherwise than webber.

and u can compare alonso to massa, but u cant really compare alonso to vettel... :p

  • Ralf between 0:35 and 0:40 XDXDXD

And generally, its quite funny, if you look at the two drivers, that are not speeking at the moment in press conferences, what expressions they make and so on. Probably, they always have to correct something after being under this high g- forces for so long time XD

  • Hahha! Häkkinen got great english! xD Very emotional, it's sad that F1 isn't like this anymore.

  • Funny, how Mika points to Ralf even at the beginning at 0:55 and it of course had no effect so early xD

  • SCUMACHER THE F1 LEGEND ..... BEST OF THE BEST ....... NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE HIM .

  • im english but schumacher is a fuckimg legend trouble is i remember this like yesterday what the fuck think my dream of being a racing driver is over now i have it the 30's. raceing fucking fiat pandas would have done me just to get that rush

  • Emotion!

  • I miss this time in formula one ,,, now its so booring..

  • @ozscorpio7 There's absolutely no camaraderie between opponents nowadays. The podiums now are absolutely lame.

  • i wonder if schumy will cry if he wins a race in his comeback years

  • yes fuck i miss the old formel 1 it wil be cool to have old fomel 1 on dvd i cant remember how prost and senna drive i miss the 2 driver and mika and damon hill

  • Hakkinen was really under Schumacher's skin... As well as all the pilots who beat him to the championship, Hill, Villeneuve, Alonso.

And the 7 times champion couldn't have done it without Crazy Eddie and Rubby doing all the dirty work

  • Mika Hakkinen "can we have a break?" Mika is the best

  • @rab008 It was ralph that said that....

  • @rab008 The reporter was indeed a dick. Mika might not speak English but he showed some compassion to Michael.

  • @efusiongaming Mika speaks good english

  • @TheHempman09 Hah, I wouldn't call it good English. There are funny videos of him speaking English :P

  • 12 years ago F1 was so, so good. It had all the characters that unfortuanately we will never see again. And this is so funny, look at Ralph Schumachers reaction!! Haha he doesn't have a clue what to do!

  • 'you are obviously very emotional about this, why does this mean so much to you?' - that actually made me cringe. what sort of fuck tard idiot would ask that?

  • Wow! The reporter is such a dick! Asking Shumacher why he got so emotional when mentioning Senna!

  • Funny how his rival comforts him, and his brother looks at him awkwardly.

  • "Do you believe that Michael had the faster car?"

"Excuse me - can you repeat the question?"

"Do you believe that Michael had the faster car?"

"A little bit yes, not much"

    Hahaha, classic Hakkinen line!! :-)

  • I miss this era of F1. Mikka & Schumacher were so cool

  • @thnk4urself tell me about. as a kid I used to watch every race. ever since mika quit the whole thing kinda lost it's shine.

  • he came 4th in korea today

  • Wow: Schumacher has an heart !!

  • Mika Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher.

Man, i miss the time wen formula one was like that...

  • @punicaification Me too! ^^

  • @punicaification Really? when championships were won with 4/5 races left. Where qualifying was an hour in which no one did anything until the last 20 minutes. I loved Formula 1 then but it's far easier to explain to my friends why I watch it now.

  • @punicaification damn right!!!

  • the one who was asking the questions is a fucking asshole...
