Sinatra wasn't a person, Sinatra was a time, a feeling, a sound, a mood, a way of carrying yourself, an attitude. Sinatra the man was bigger than life. It was all of this and more and now its gone and it will never be like this again. This movie comes somewhat close to recreating that time. All the actors in it did an incredible job, especially Liotta and Motagna. RIP Francis Albert
Sinatra was a gr8 singer i admired him when he was making movies he only did 1 take he said im not paid to make 2movies I wonder how Directors like Scorsese, and Stone would make of that?
I was born in the wrong tome, how nice it must have been to live when people people still had respect, respect for their own appearance, respect for class and style respect for each other and just enjoying life. Now i'm expecting to wear jeans that show my pants and talk ghetto just to be cool the Rat Pack is true cool.
That's funny that they showed the non filter cigs in the huge bowl. Sammy used to place several enormous bowls filled with cigarettes around his house whenever he threw a party. Fully stocked bar as well, of course.
@dino8192 - I feel the same way, Going out to clubs was a different meaning back then, the girls wore beautiful gowns and dresses, the men wore tuxes. It truely was a classy time, and I wish I were a part of that, with live performances, live music, and of course the real rat pack, or even seeing martin and Lewis's colgate comedy hour show. I am a huge Martin and Lewis fan. I was born in 1980
@Pam4Rob Everything was different. You talk about men & women "dressing up", people would dress up when they got on airplanes, also, when people would go to Vegas, especially to see the shows, they would be dressed to kill. Now you see guys wearing shorts & wife beaters (tank tops) & women wearing barely anything. I don't know what it is/was. Maybe average people had more pride/respect in their appearance back then? Or, Vegas/Planes were more of a novelty? I don't know. It was just different.
@gjc82071 Look, They cramp everyone on planes to the point where comfort is lost. I do not see anything wrong with casual dress, but I do agree that some people dress really badly on planes. I usually wear dockers and a dress type shirt. I put my long hair in a pony tail so as to not freak out those who hate long hairs.
@starVol Hi,.I'm witrh youuuuu, why get all gussied up just to sit on a plane for hours, smell pll's farts,'n burps, let alone our own ones.LMAO.hahaha.P.S. I do LOVE the way pll dressed baaaaaaaaack in the day.all that.but yeah,I agree with you about the plane tranportation.some pll here are kinda make it seem ,like lets wear heels,'n fancy dress, and go camping for a weekend.picnic, yeah, nice summer dress.depends on what's up.yeah,.no farts on my 20 buck dollar dress in a packed plane.LMAO.peace.
@bodhitaichi LOL,..yeah,.maybe thats why YT IS censoring comments.calling pll idiots just bcasue they have an opinon(of thier own) for geez sake,.cant you tell i was fooling around,.and just making airplane trip jokes.btw,.i just took an I.Q test a couple days ago,..it's in the triple digits,..maybe around your age.I hate being mean.but you had no call to call me an idiot for just messing, having comment fun.yeah,.have a good one.peace
@dino8192 You know, when I was 7 years of age. Back in 1994, I saw Sinatra live on TV singing "New York, New York". I loved his music since then. Great music was from the 50s to the 90s. Now it's all shit with people like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
You probably remember the older Senatra. Rememeber this move is of his younger days, Im pretty sure his voice may have changed over the the years overall i think Ray Liotta did a pretty good job.
@sugameapples I think the movie is trying to show that people thought Dean was funny and charming. Specifically Dean could get people to laugh by how he said things not just what he said. Unfortunately Joe does not have Dean's style plus such is difficult to relay on film (as opposed to being in person)

There may be a very few that can imitate his voice...but there isn't one that can take Sinatra's place...not even close.

@leahanna412003 Best I've seen is Sinatra Cartier. He's an impersonator professionally and with just your ears you can't tell the difference.

It's really disappointing that Liotta wasn't in anything really good other than Goodfellas, he was amazing in that movie, he could've gone far.
