  • this would an amazing movie!!!!

  • Is their a movie ?cuz it says so in the end w/matt damon n julia roberts but caint it?

  • @phin07lus no there is not a movie.

  • @kitesandrobots

Are you joking? Or did you write the wrong name? I'm sure it's the mom you're describing...

  • Just read lost boy! What an amazing story of triumph!! I can't wait to tell my foster kids " Superman had foster parents"

  • @kitesandrobots Please would you really say this to some one who went through all that crap as a kid? He was abused and treated injustly. Just an innocent kid! Your comment only agrees with the mOTHER'S ACTIONS. CRUEL AND HEARTLESS. Abuse is not Okay.

  • It is different when you are young and brain washed and all you know is the life that occurred inside the house, it wasn't easy to think I will just leave this crazy place and get help. It is not that easy when you are abused, beaten down, hopeless, all you want to do is please and change that person who is meant to love you but hurts you.

  • at the time child abuse wasn't take as seriousl.y as it is now.

  • If I were ever abused I would just leave.

In the middle of the night and run to the police station.

If you have the scars they would have to believe you.

I don't see why he didnt leave.

Why did he just sit there and take it?

  • @MelissaAnnDarko he was terrified that if the police didn't believe him he would get sent home and his mom would punish him a lot. He was just a terrified little boy living in a nightmare. :(

  • @MelissaAnnDarko

she got into his mind and made him think that no one would ever believe him, or that he would be sent to jail. the teachers saw the scars every day, and they couldn't do anything.

abusers are clever, they beat the victum down untill they can barely speak, make them think they are worthless untill they believe it. he wasn't able to think rationaly like you or I. he wasn't taught self confidence, or self worth. he ran away once and was brought back to his mom.

  • @MelissaAnnDarko

also they'll purposesly make the child scared of the police or authority figures. in order to prevent them from trusting them and telling. abused children have lived this kind of life for years, they don't understand how to get help. they have no where to turn sometimes. he was a thin, under developed boy, who had no one. and when he did run away he was returned to his parents.

  • @Ajsmurfs no they don't.

  • I just got done reading the very first book and my life has changed. Best book i will ever read, no doubt in my mind.

  • I've read the book. I love his strength...courage...and go to not give up.
