I got the interceptor for Christmas one year and it was the best Christmas ever... then the same day the mechanism that holds the wing on broke and it became the worst Christmas ever. Yay I had a one winged Tie Interceptor

Personally, I liked the British commercial for the TIE Interceptor alot better...mainly because they just has a narrator and none of the kids doing any dialogue...except in that one advert for the AT-AT and Snowspeeder.

Featuring Madine and PruneFace in the Falcon(one of the coolest toys ever made)was intended to help sell those two figures at greater frequency.Also,at that particular time,it was nearly impossible to find Han and Chewbacca in any toy store. Every time I went all that was left was Lobot,Madine,Prune Face,one of the Skiff Guards,and Ewoks. Everything else was picked over(Kenner must have picked up on these trends),so the background characters were often featured in these ads to sell more of them.
