What is the work that is finished?

I believe the finished work was redemption. Jim Staley has a great video on Youtube that describes in great detail the work that Christ did on the cross. It is called identity crisis. I hope you will watch it and let me know what you think. It blew me away when i watched it to see how Gods plan of redemption was infallible!

I think much of the argument going on here is simply due to misunderstanding. Those of us who embrace the law and good works are often accused of trying to earn our salvation. Nothing could be further from the truth. Friends, it is God who calls and chooses His sheep! When the sheep hear the masters voice they go where He goes and they follow Him! No one is saved by anything other than the Mercy of God. The blood of Yashua is the means by which our sins are forgiven, wiped out and forgotten.

As far as once saved always saved goes, I wouldn't count on it cause the bible sure isn't clear on that but it is very clear on the need for us to repent. How many times did Jesus say "go and sin no more"? I dont see God telling us to do something we cannot do. He has not set us up to fail but his Spirit empowers us to succeed! When we are led by the spirit we can do ALL THINGS: Obey Him and follow the divine instructions of love.

@rahalramsey I do believe though that if a person is truly called to a relationship with The Creator, He will not let them slip from His hand wehn they fall into sin. He knows how to bring us to repentance by letting us reap the rewards of those sins. Tried books, counselling, websites to stop ‘wilful’ sinning and nothing worked! I kept sinning and repenting (so-called) and was in pain and tears for years! Amen. Saved by grace through faith alone. All else is pride.  If one is not saved by God's grace, they are not saved, even if their righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees. On that Day, the Lord will say, I never knew you, for you had to be proud and lead others into your proud way, which is not my way. Jesus Himself will save us when we have in Him. The faith of a child as small as a mustard seed will cause a soul to be born again. Pride will cause a soul to inherit flames though.

That is a rather serious mistake when we are giving the simple gospel to the lost. In many cases we are told to repent of our own way, unto the only way. I know that this is hard at first for some of you to understand, because of the years of being on the wrong track, but I can assure you that this is THE TRUTH! Amen! God has opened my eyes finally! I have re-dedicated my life to God now and follow his 10 Love Commandments and avoid willful sinning. God knows our hearts! I am now finally on "The Narrow Road" and I plan to stay on it until my last breath! Then the Lord will save me in the end by Jesus' redemption. This is still "Saved By Grace"

@yodheytheway Amen brother. Faith without works is indeed DEAD. Having “faith” or “believing” in Jesus simply means to obey him, the Word in Flesh. And what was his word to mankind? The only words that God the Father every spoke to man in an awesome way with thunder and lighting, the 10 Love Commandments! He actually even wrote them with his own finger for us on stone tablets and preserved the account until this day!

@yodheytheway Could he have been more clear to us? In fact, all that Jesus taught about was related to the 10 Love Commandments. And when one asked him how to attain eternal life, he bluntly listed them to him. Above all, he was the ultimate example of how we should live our lives in accordance to the commandments.

hi, so i was wondering what i should do... i know the bible says to love but i can't seem to fully commit to that. i have a brother that is an athiest and very hard to get along with (manipulative, mean) and a mother that is a complainer and too harsh although i see her doing religious things. and many christians that call themselves christians but live like an unbeliever. i don't think i have seen many people with love that i know in my heart. i am overwhelmed by this and kind of gave up...

@estheryuak88 Hey, just remember on Judgment Day you will be responsible for ONLY yourself (your own thoughts, words, & deeds). How your mother or brother or anyone else lives is their deal. So develop YOUR relationship with your Father God, and pray for others. May the Father fill you with His love.

@Rush6477 I agree! Jesus said it this way once, "Therefore ALL things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, DO YE even so to them: FOR THIS IS THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS" (Matthew 7:12). See, Jesus was saying the same thing here, "loving one another fulfills the law"! And how do we love one another?? By keeping the 10 love Commandments.

@estheryuak88 One of the things that I do when I am struggling with mean people is I pray and ask God to remind me of His love for them. Remember that Jesus died on the cross for the sinners who hated Him. God feels the pain of rejection and loss. He loves the people who hate him and reject him. His heart breaks because of the pain they are in and the suffering they cause to themselves and others. He would do ANYTHING to change their ways to redeem them to himself, including die for them.

u r altering the Words of Yeshua. He never said "10" Commandments or "100" Commandments. don´t add to His Words. He said MY COMMANDMENTS. He spoke on the whole LAW untill the last letter and period. don´t take away from His Words.

@yaitsmesuperboomboon One of the greatest revelations God has given me about the Bible is the fact that EVERYTHING Jesus taught people "to do" or "not to do" was/is completely based on the 10 Commandments. EVERYTHING!!! Those 10 Laws are the Law of Love!

And they are the ONLY laws that if a soul WILLINGLY disobeys them and never repents, will one day send them to hell! It is that simple. So while I appreciate your enthusiasm, I MUST continue to speak what God has commanded me to.

Hello, Brother Gabriel. Great video! Many will mistake this video as saying that following God's (Love) Commandments will save us - desiring to follow God's (Love) Commandments is the manifestation of true salvation - for if we are truly saved, we will desire to follow God's law & desire to please him. It's an outward sign of our inward change. I love God with all my heart & I desire to follow Him & keep His law. His law does not save me, His love saved me - obeying His law is the proof of it.

Thank you Gabriel!!! Jesus was asked which of the ten commandments given to Moses was the greatest. Jesus answered without hesitation. He told us to love the Lord our God with all of our heart and love one another. He said that if we kept those two commandments we would be keeping all of the others.
