Does anyone remeber to helo accident that took place around 93-94. Trying to bed down acft, after a base exercise as I think it was typhon Yancy was bearing down. Couple of people were killed.
@sadlowss Yes, I was there at the time and it was an 18th Wing Ops TSgt ( I believe) who was killed in the accident. There was always questions about why they were moving aircraft at that particular time since we were already in TC-1. Gen. Cliver was the wing cmdr. at the time.
Kadena was my last long tour base. Left there in 93 to do my last six months at F.E. Warren. Got out under early program too. Was an SP. Kadena was my fav base along with Clark.

I was in 603rd aps from 91-94, I remember alot of the faces but I can only remember the guy at the end of the video drinking mountain dews,His name was Scott and had a good friend name Jeff from Tennesee- we played Spades all the time in his dorm room rocking out to Metallica-Great memories!!
I was assigned to Kadena in Jan.1976. 18th Transportation Squadron. I was a heavy vehicle mechanic. I was part of the last troops stationed at Korat AB Thailand. Oh the memories of Gate Two St. I went TDY to Kwang Ju, AB Korea in April 76. I had a lot of fun in the Pacific Theater. I also was assigned to Osan AB, Clark AB and Utapao AF man I sure miss those days.
Cool! I was in TROA, which was the data center down by the base recreation center.
You mention you were there 10 years, I'm guessing we knew each other at least in passing. Especially when we were one happy family before the split into 2 squadrons.
I remember these faces, but most of the names escape me totally.
