I agree!!! Even though the special edition lets you play as Vergil there were no cutscenes or anything and it seemed a bit half-assed if you ask me. They could have made it a bit better IMO. Maybe make it downloadable now since that seems to be what people are doing the most nowadays anyway. Vergil is my fave!!!!=)

Vergil did not join Mundus, Mundus tricked Vergil and made him his puppet. When Vergil became Nelo Angelo he was a lifeless shell, so that made it easier for Dante to surpass him. They used to be equally matched.
Except it appears in DMC 1 Dante offed him, as Vergil became Nero Angelo after being brain washed by Mundus. After Dante defeats him for the last time he drops his half of the amulet and kinda explodes in a bluish light. I think Vergil is gone for good.

Often times some people are just ignorant. They claim Devil May Cry 2 has no relevance to the over all franchise. When they forget to read further in finding out that the story wasn't what people hated but rather the gameplay. People who haven't played the game end up running amuck being completely retarded.
Current speculation is that just before 1, as Vergil was with Mundus, he had a spouse so it's possible they had a child. When Vergil died as Nelo, supposedly he became the devils arm for Nero as a hand me down. (like Rebellion and Yamato went to Dante and Vergil) Perhaps the reason why Yamato is responding to Nero is because it senses Vergil's energy within the arm.
Otherwise it's anybodies guess at this point. Notice Sanctus stabbed Nero's arm with Yamato while prior claiming that when his blood and the sword combined the sword could be used. I always thought Nero was a orphin and just happened to be at the wrong place at the right time. "From that day forth my arm changed" something must of happened.
Yes! you can clearly see in the mission in DMC4 that Nero says he went looking for power. anything to protect kyrie.. that's when V irgil kicked in. He gave Nero demonic power and well.. how does this work out for Virgil? Well, he still lives! I hope he is in DMC5 :D And still has the same voice actor as in DMC3 cuz if not, then i dont know... but when Nero gets his devil trigger, he repeats what he says in his search for power.. something Virgil once said himself. ^_^ I'm so happy I'm playing.
Vergil living in nero's body is proven when nero fixes yamamto when hes about to die vergil (from yamamto) grants him his power to destroy the nights and takes his body for a while and pretty much annouces his present by nero's hair blown back into a semi-vergil style hair-do and has nelo-angelo's blue plasmetic shadow standing behind nero and he says vergil's line of "I NEED MORE POWER" vergil is just camping out in nero i thik this is the story for DMC5 wich is probable the last DMC.
Vergil lost to mundus and then mundus used vergil's power hungrey soul and sparda's blood to make nelo Angelo's armor which is the dark knight you fight in DMC one when the final fight with the dak knight is over vergil breaks the helmet that was controlling him and then dies he pours his soul into yamato which nero finds and then repairs in DMC4 and vergil hides in nero's subcounious gaining power till he can take nero's body for his own

VERGIL: isnt dead! his soul is merely now in nero`s arm still living but not physically. and SPARDA: Is dead!!! jeez he died a long time ago wo would want to bring him back hes probably tired killing enough demons in his days already! but still its up to capcom but if they do bring sparda like he rose from the dead or something i wouldnt be bad too but its just wrong! and the orb thing is mundus he needed power all along to defeat mundus in the end vergil isnt bad

well remember vergil's saying might controls everything and without it you can protect anything let alone yourself which i think he acts like that because his mom died so thats hus way to make up for her death so when nero was in trouble and needed power to protect kyrie vergil kicked in and gave him his power because he doesnt want a relative of his in some way to lose a loved one like he did

Yeah and it hasen't been said but if you ask me, Nero COULD be Vergil's son, think about it he'll gain power to save Kyrie, He could use his power to reconnect Yamato(Vergil's sword remember), and he said something about power. Also his Devil Trigger looks alike Nelo Angelo(the spirit). Plus, who would be better to give him power to protect a loved one? I'd say a father who knows the loss and doesn't want it to happen to his son so he gives him power.

Vergil did not join Mundus, Mundus tricked Vergil and made him his puppet. When Vergil became Nelo Angelo he was a lifeless shell, so that made it easier for Dante to surpass him. They used to be equally matched.

Except it appears in DMC 1 Dante offed him, as Vergil became Nero Angelo after being brain washed by Mundus. After Dante defeats him for the last time he drops his half of the amulet and kinda explodes in a bluish light. I think Vergil is gone for good.
However they should be getting to Sparda soon.

The original spelling of Vergil is Virgil the creator I guess just decided to spell his name with an e and not an i. That's why Virgil appears not misspelt with a spell check when typing :P

Often times some people are just ignorant. They claim Devil May Cry 2 has no relevance to the over all franchise. When they forget to read further in finding out that the story wasn't what people hated but rather the gameplay. People who haven't played the game end up running amuck being completely retarded.

Current speculation is that just before 1, as Vergil was with Mundus, he had a spouse so it's possible they had a child. When Vergil died as Nelo, supposedly he became the devils arm for Nero as a hand me down. (like Rebellion and Yamato went to Dante and Vergil) Perhaps the reason why Yamato is responding to Nero is because it senses Vergil's energy within the arm.

Otherwise it's anybodies guess at this point. Notice Sanctus stabbed Nero's arm with Yamato while prior claiming that when his blood and the sword combined the sword could be used. I always thought Nero was a orphin and just happened to be at the wrong place at the right time. "From that day forth my arm changed" something must of happened.

Yes! you can clearly see in the mission in DMC4 that Nero says he went looking for power. anything to protect kyrie.. that's when V irgil kicked in. He gave Nero demonic power and well.. how does this work out for Virgil? Well, he still lives! I hope he is in DMC5 :D And still has the same voice actor as in DMC3 cuz if not, then i dont know... but when Nero gets his devil trigger, he repeats what he says in his search for power.. something Virgil once said himself. ^_^ I'm so happy I'm playing.

Vergil living in nero's body is proven when nero fixes yamamto when hes about to die vergil (from yamamto) grants him his power to destroy the nights and takes his body for a while and pretty much annouces his present by nero's hair blown back into a semi-vergil style hair-do and has nelo-angelo's blue plasmetic shadow standing behind nero and he says vergil's line of "I NEED MORE POWER" vergil is just camping out in nero i thik this is the story for DMC5 wich is probable the last DMC.

Vergil lost to mundus and then mundus used vergil's power hungrey soul and sparda's blood to make nelo Angelo's armor which is the dark knight you fight in DMC one when the final fight with the dak knight is over vergil breaks the helmet that was controlling him and then dies he pours his soul into yamato which nero finds and then repairs in DMC4 and vergil hides in nero's subcounious gaining power till he can take nero's body for his own

Nero's arm is actualy a replica of Sparda's arm,when Nero got hold of Vergil's Yamato , Vergils power was in the sword.And Nero awakened that power.Final line is that Vergil has nothing to do with Nero exept the fact that Nero has his sword lol.
