lmao, yet another over priced product from SUREFIRE. i use to have all there lights. (the M6 , G2, U2 ultra) then i sold them. their technology is outdated for the price/lumens and runtime. get a FENIX PD30 @ 265 lumens or a MTE P7D rated at 900 lumens for $60 AND it takes rechargeable batteries.
Dont bother buying a Maglite. I have owned both Maglite and Surefire flashlights of different sizes. All of the maglites have broken and none of the Surefire flashlights have. I own 3 Surefire flashlights and will never own anything else. Illumination far exceeds Maglite and quality is far superior!

@NFS13EPIC Hi, yes you can use rechargeable batteries for your mini maglite, buy rechargeable batteries with the most mAh for the best result and longest lifetime.
@NFS13EPIC I use rechargeable batteries in my AAA Mini maglite. Works fine. I believe the bulb will last longer, the voltage with rechargeable batteries is lower.

Hi:Pls show us your Best of the Best HID Light "if u can outBeat this Hid Light shown Below"
Type this on youtube: Man vs Nature... Spot Light vs Lighting
Hope to receive your latest update Sky View at Long range 300-400 yard Video for yr Brightest HID Light if u can find. Under Heavy rain at Sky Towel "That will be Great. Can u OutBeat them!!!
the g2 with p60 and p61 used in the video showed a floody beam, is that really how surefire lamps propagate light? my g2 has a pretty tight beam in the center
HOw do the batteris hold up on these lights? Doesn't it take more power to make brighter light? Not trying to sound dumb, I'm seriously asking. Thanks
Incandescent bulbs waste power, so the LEDs in Sirefire lights can produce more light with the same amount of power. However, they do burn more power to make it much, much brighter, but they use a different kind of battery (CR123). It's the combination of those two principles that makes Surefire better. But better still is Fenix imo.
surefire x400 puts out 110 lumens, 50 lumens will blind someone who's eyes are adjusted to the dark. Battery life is 2.5 hours, which should be plenty enough to get the job done. The only bad thing is by the time you buy all the accesories you'll need with it, it probablly will cost more than the handgun you are putting it on. If you ever need it though money well spent, watch the vids on surefires page numbered 1 through 3.
LED Lights are alot more efficient than incan lights, so even though it may use the same AA battery, u still get more power and longer runtimes. but for serious power get a torch using cr123 batts, or 18650's, both are lithium, just remember the higher the Mah(milli amp hour) the longer the batts will last.
I got the Fenix TK12 and it rocks. Amazingly, it cost under a $100 considering it puts out 225 lumens, has more features, and it comes with accessories.
I just got my fenix l2d. It's amazing how this little 2AA light performs. I never knew there could be such a difference in flashlights. I was used to those 2D el cheapo lights and assumed all were basically the same.
It's a large collection of sure fires vs the mini maglite, you didn't show like the 3D one or anything... I mean I know sure fire is better but that video is really biased
Surefire will beat maglite every time if you need a large area lit up.. for stealth operations (home burglary,, or if you're a cop, quietly checking out a parked car, etc) a Maglite Mini is fine.
you are right, the maglite have optional lamps you can buy with xenon wish make it EVEN stonger, Xenon make +125% brighter light than just a regular lamp... and the maglite is choosen by the law enforcement, fire department etc. because of its kvality and realability :D just got the maglite 4D :D
I'm not wasting my time, I'm trying to inform people of simple facts. The 3D Maglite LED will last over 22hrs at over 50% max brightness, how long will any of the Surefire flashlights last for? 1-5 hrs tops?
It's simply not a fair comparison, so telling people "Look! Surefire is better because it's brighter!" is silly.
I'll go buy a $40 3+ million candlepower flashlight and shine it on the same wall you've got there...
Surefire G2 LED lasts for about 12 hours, E1L outdoorsman (with only one 3v battery) lasts for about 10 hours with MUCH more light than Mag 3D.
Pluss... you cant carry Mag 3D in your pocket, it is very heavy and with 50% of light from the Mag 3D (witch uses 3 x 1,5v battery = 4,5v) it does not last for 22hrs like you think, they run out in few hours in constant use.
And for people who explore caves (like me) than the surefire is much better option because of the amount of light and how small they are.
And with surefire like U2 Ultra you can choose many different types of strength of the light, and it lasts for 40+hrs, and with Kroma you have a light up to 80hrs,
E2L Outdoorsman lasts for up to 100hrs with the lowest amount of light.
So with Surefire you can choose the light that fits your needs, with Maglite you can only choose different sizes, and 90% of them are WHEY TOO BIG AND HEAVY.
but if you want quility and a flashlight that dosn't breake the maglite is the best. The Maglite is use by Law Enforcements and security in the whole world.. Maglite can be runed over by semi-trailers etc. in high speed and not breake a bit
Recently I have bought the Maglite 6D Xenon which has 233 Lumens. It is much more brighter than the 2D LED. As for the size, I need that extra length to protect myself against wild animals. The aircraft aluminium body can be doubled up as a long, tactical iron rod. Pretty useful. Although it won't fit into my pocket, I used a tripod case to store the flashlight. Quite convenient.
My 2D LED Maglite was operated continously for 6 hours in both outdoor trips and another few hours on random tests. It still works. The battery life is truly more than 12 hours long.
I am debating between getting the G2 or the G2 LED. Seems the G2 in your video has wider beam. Would you agree? I know sometimes the cameras expsosure system can affect these videos. I read reviews saying the LED model outshines the original G2 but your demostration looks the other way around. Thanks
Yes it would be nice, but i don't have that to compare it with the others. But i do have Fenix P1D Q5 (180 Lumen) and P3D Q5 (215 Lumen) and will make a new video soon and post it here.
My choice would still be Surefire G2 LED if we take strength of beam, hours in use and price.
That is not entirely correct all maglites have a focuse beam so you could make the light fill the whole wall also you showed 2 types of maglite and loads of surefire good movie though i personally prefere sure fire though i think maglite is more tactical
If i will make the Maglite fill the wall, it will be a dead area in the center, and it will be a big black hole in the middle since this is a distance of 25 meters.
Thanks for the vid but tbh everyone who know anything about torrches know that normal mags suck anyway. First off, comparing brightness means nothing. Many other details need to be compared as well (size, battery life, etc).
Second, maybe try focusing the mag spot a bit wider for a remotely useful comparison.
alexnoot 3 years ago
Why dont you make your own perfect comparing and stop waisting your time by posting comments like this.
Second, if you focus wider with the Mag you almost have no light and a dead spot in the middle.
