@MiniMousePoo2 Yeah, I really meant it in more the Jimi Hendrix sense. Jimi defined a generation of guitar players and I think John will do the same. Jimi wasn't the most technically proficient player around in the his era (who can even judge that anyway) and neither is John, but i think in 30 or 40 years John is the one everyone will remember just Jimi is the one everyone remembers from his era.

I agree, claptons seal of approval is an amazing achievement. However, I believe that Mayers technical abilities and skills far surpass Claptons, but their styles originated in two different generations, so that could be why. Either way, This song is technically and melodically amazing.
I think he is maybe better then clapton, meaby not in everything but clapton couldn't play acoustic that good. He didn't had a fingerstyle you know. And john mayer has a really own fingerstyle and that thumb thing etc meaby clapton is better at electric but I won't compere them (this is a reaction of a very old reaction of someone xd)

just takes practice really. if you can sing and play other songs it comes to you faster. once you get the riff down and know what your singing just practice it youll surprise yourself

ouch bro. well dude anytime you have free instead of maybe watchin tv or somethin jam a little bit on the guitar. all it takes is practice even ask the legends. good luck man, on the exams and on the guitar. hard work pays off
