Noo... Madonna recorded this in early 80s, but wasn't used, then it was recorded with Ozzy and Kim, but this song, you're listening now, is a mix from the Madonna's vocals and the 92s version! ^^ it's not exactly the original version of Madonna ^^
Ozzy originally recorded with Madona, but was not released. when Madona hit it it big, they would not release the track, so they simply re-recorded with Kim Basinger. Read... I Am Ozzy.
I don't get this. They dropped Madonna originally because they felt they wanted a male vocalist but used Kim Basinger later, why didnt they just use the orignal Madonna vocals? One reason I suppose is that by 1992 when this ipbeat version was released they prhaps couldnt get Madonna's permission to use her? Or they didn't like her recording?
This does sound like Madonna, but there is also a Kim Basinger version. Why else would she be in the matching offcial clip. You can hear the difference in voices.
I'd liked to know what year Madonna's vocals were recorded. It can't have been early 80's because this version of the composition was produced in 92, the original version is completely different. Her vocals must have been recorded in the early 90's?
I copied the information in the videos description space. I also placed the script in the video. I got all the information from I believe it was from Billboard. They say she had recorded it in 83, before she was "MADONNA" Then Ozzy did it. Then re-released with Kim in 92. This Remix was done last year, combining Madonna & Ozzy by Steve "Silk House" Hurly. Remembered for producing hits for CeCe Penniston & Crystal Waters. He should have thrown in a few Kim vocals, for fun, Ha? ..NOT!
Was (Not Was) actually originally in the 80s with Ozzy on lead vocals and Madonna on backing vocals although a remixed version in the 90s which did use Ozzy's vocals did not have Madonna but had Kim Basinger instead
@freddygotme her vocals were recored in the 80's but were not used, this is a remixed version that was going to be released with her vocals but she said she did not want her vocals used for the remix so kim basinger was used for the remix instead, this version leaked onlnie a few years ago
I'm a bit confused, I liked the song the first time I heard it from BBC Uk chart back when I was junior high, it was Kim Basinger as a featuring singer, but now it's Madonna? I think Madonna's version is better...
Madonna recorded it first. Then they had Kim do it. When it was sent to get remixed the remixer used the madonna vocals on accident... Thank god for the internet, someone found it, noticed it was Madonna and posted it!
people always talk crap about madonna seems like but I've always liked what she was doing or trying to do,... most it was pulled off pretty smooth like....like the big time club chick that really made it big...house music music she did was always kinda cool..
IT WAS KIM BASINGER

I thought the original was Kim Basinger in 1992 but it was Madonna. Both versions sound cool.

Madonna asked to be taken off the re-done version - so they asked Kim Basinger to come on board instead.

Ah. Regardless, I think the version with Madonna is fantastic I can't believe it's not a more well known fact. This is a great track made greater.
