  • It's funny how this looks like a huge movie prop or a chunk of styrofoam however, it is in fact a living tree over 2,000 years old. Earth is the best :)

  • I go there every time i go to sequoia, but i have been there 8 times, though none of it ever gets old.

  • ive been there

  • no no, its just large my bean plant is higher..

  • no no, its just large

  • does not look that big

  • General Sherma!

  • wow that amazing that tree is biggg

  • You seen the 44 minute Nat Geo video on coast redwoods? Search CLIMBING REDWOOD GIANTS in Youtube's search box.

Speaking of big, have you read about the Crannell Creek Giant, documented in the early 1900s at near 70,000 cubic feet, much bigger than General Sherman? The General is the current leftovers. Coast redwoods actually have the genetic potential to become the largest and tallest. It will take centuries to repeat though.

  • nice...its 2000 years old!!! so thats alot...but do u meybe know...if is still growing? :P

  • This is just amazing, just amazing, it saw the rise of civilizations, gives us the hope of live longer life span, if there are seeds for sale of this tree ill plant them here in Europe!

  • @celpabedn You're not supposed to take the cones out of the park. But I'd plant them in London if the soil and conditions were right.
