@IndieAndEmma No, look closely where the stock touches his arm not the pit of the shoulder. He was using the rifle incorrectly. Of course these high power rifles have recoil but if he had the rifle "shouldered" properly, That much recoil would have also caused his neck to tighten up and the gun along with his head and shoulder would have all moved at the same rate and this wouldn't happen.
