They were amazing. We gotta sing this song. They sing it similar to us but we do it different. We all sing our parts and it goes at different times for parts of the song and they sing it all together as one. Not bad. Altos for the win ^.^ Now if only the Tenor/Baritones could sing like this at my school...
That was a different way od handling the solo, but to each his own. Hearing different ways of doing the song is always a good thing, especially when it comes to choral arrangements
wow, great but the parts are soppost to be doing different things at different times, and i really cant hear the harmony that well, where are the tenors?
Isn't the point to NOT hear distinctive parts? For it to sound like it is one unified voice...beautiful I did this song in 2005/200 in Belton Singers...makes me tear up to think about it
not really, the people in each section are supposed to blend. so it sounds like one person from each section. I dont like how they did it. they should have added solos.
You guys were great. I got the Chamber Choir songs edited and online Tuesday night. I used some new camcorders that record to flash memory instead of tape; that makes downloading vids onto the computer from the cameras a lot faster.

I can hear tenor faintly..
I think my school's vocal jazz did a better job, mostly because there were only one or two people on a part. you could hear all the harmony's..

yes, you want to blend across the group, but you do want to hear all the harmonies of each part in that blend.

No, Bob Chilcott made this specific arrangement of the song. He's a popular arranger for choral directors.
