i Think putting these videos up about which is better there just as good as each other its stupid western is fun but so can english everyone has there thoughts but really there both fun and the hole fight on youtube on which is better is point less i mean i ride english but i like western to so really this hole which is better is stupid just saying so no one take it the wrong way :)

I love western is amazing but i love english its amazing im learning how to jump and its hard but fun and barrel racing is hard to learn also but i love both

This makes me laugh. Half the english videos shown on this video are of horses running around a paddock :L English isn't horses running round paddocks.

Me and my horse compete in eventing, jumpers, and hunters. We do barrels and poles (In a english saddle) to help him with the tight turns on the jumpers courses. He is horrible at it!!!! Before him i had a jumper pony, who i tried barrels and poles on. It was both of our first time. We got 21s on poles and 19 on barrels (I don't know if that's good or bad) But it was sooooo exciting, what an adrenaline rush!!!! Both are super exciting, dangerous, and difficult sports

Honestly I think they are both great and yes I have tried both. And sure Enlish riders think English is better and western riders think Western is better but their not, they are equally the same. And you know what who cares what people think just go what you think is best. Cuz if you have nothing good to say don't say it at all.Don't think what is better for you think what is better for your horse.But plz plz don't insult any riding cuz people enjoy their riding as much as you enjoy yours.

i ride western im a country girl but i never tried english... i sat on a horse with an english saddle fot the first time yesterday and i tried to post and i almost fell off of the horse so i agree with thebarrelprincess i take my hat off to english riders everywere it is hard to keep your balance in an english saddle

personally, i think XC is the hardest and most dangrous sport in the world, but all western is so fun. at the end of xc training i ride my friends western horse and do some barrels for fun :) its much more laid back but hard at the same time, i suck compared to my friend who actually rides western :P

depends on what your doing i suppose. I'd hate to work cattle on an english saddle but for jumping i'd want an english saddle. apples and oranges type argument. Both were designed around a specific need. Not that I know much about english riding but any one with any riding sense can see the skill required to do either properly.

I take my hat off to

English it must tak LOTS of stregth to stay on in that type of saddle

and i take my hat off to western riders

for the Guts and couge you have to weave and in and out at that speed

I have a horse named DIscovery. We do english AND western, so i can honestly say they are both fun, western is about speed and taking risks, and english is about being gracful and loooking good, both are fun, both are the same and i definitely love them both the same!!! i know my horse does too!!!!
