I'm curious how it learned to sing that. I was taught that they learned how to speak English by watching us speak, and seeing how our tongues move. By TV, it can't see that.

I guess it makes sense, seeing as how it can learn doorbell sounds and such.

African Greys are extremely smart. My friend's dad has one and it can whistle the first few bars of the Addams Family theme, can bark like the dog, say the dog's name, and say 'work' in a sarcastic tone. :D

Indeed. I listened to a podcast recently about an African Grey called Alex who was taught to understand language and use basic reasoning. He could count up to six and understood concepts like "same" and "different" as well as colours, shapes and materials, and could communicate about them when asked.
