  • I just met today, the drummer on this song!!! Such a sad story..mick...go give the credit to them please!!!! You made millions and some of them now live day to day!!!!

  • anybody know what happend to brian turner? he managed my band velvet jungle in the early-mid 90's

  • In this version Mick was just a diamond in the rough! This song is truly a masterpiece!!!

  • Love both versions.

  • Awesome!!!. Buenisimo!!!.. lo maximo!!!... Mick you are the best!!!!

  • It's good but then again it's nothing like the "original"

  • simply red guy? >.<

  • This version has a basement feel about it but Mick eventually took it up to the penthouse.

  • The man on the bass is our old manager Brian turner, Hope you are well Brian.

    Dave Barker Velvet Jungle

  • the tempo is too fast for this song, they really did nail it's mood when rerecorded with band Simply Red.

  • Quite brilliant

  • Cool version.

  • Pretty cool..I was literally expecting a punk version though.

  • I like this lean, stripped down version with its twanging guitar--but Mick did the right thing when he later imbued it with the heartfelt intensity which would propel it to its current status as an enduring classic.

  • It's funny now to think Hucknall started out in a punk band. His voice is so far removed from punk... it seems obvious now in retrospect.

Thanks for the upload mate :)

  • Where is the "I'll keep holding on" part in the song? Thats my favorite part.....

  • @jriley1992 He only added that part when he rerecorded it with Simply Red. Does seem to spin a lot of people out.
