I like this lean, stripped down version with its twanging guitar--but Mick did the right thing when he later imbued it with the heartfelt intensity which would propel it to its current status as an enduring classic.

It's funny now to think Hucknall started out in a punk band. His voice is so far removed from punk... it seems obvious now in retrospect.
