  • reeaaaallly sucks that he's gone. It's always great when a comic artist is friendly and is perfectly fine talking about art and techs.

  • can you send me the file/video for this ?

  • There is a copy of wizard magazine that is a Witchblade special and it teaches how he draws. I still have it and I do not want to get rid of it.

  • Treasure it forever.

Now that Mr. Turner is gone, there will never be another one.

Unless Wizard Magazine has more un-published Michael Turner drawing lessons that we don't know about.

    You never know!

Still, treasure that copy of Wizard forever!

  • @Rcinch1 how did he die?

  • @sylicone221 He came down with Bone Cancer.

Believe it or not, even human bones can get cancer.

Google aspen comics. His companie's website will be your first or in the first couple choices.

    His biography is on there.

  • @Rcinch1 how did he get bone cancer, he was just a kid wasnt he?

  • @sylicone221 Nobody knows where the cancer came from. The whole world was shocked to hear that he passed away at 38. A very shocking tragedy! I never even got my chance to meet him. See, I am a 28 year-old college art/animation student so I worship artists like MR. Turner.

  • @Rcinch1 really? 38?

  • @sylicone221 Yup. He was 38 years old. He was taken from us much too soon!

I don't know if it was genetic because Wizard Magazine did not mention any history of disease in his family tree.

    It was a total shocker!

  • @Rcinch1 actually according to wiki he was 37.....but still.....bone cancer??!

  • @sylicone221 I would look up bone cancer on wikipedia.

It can explain the medical condition more than I could.

Cancer can infect anything in the body.

I know this because I have a friend that is a nurse and a friend that is studying to be a doctor at LSU Medical School!

  • never got to meet MT :'(

looove his art! he was so great at what he did.

    my inspiration for drawing

  • Kate, you are totally a bimbo and couldn't ever take pics as hot as mine on my channel

  • This guy is my hero. Because I decided to follow him, I am now working on an internship with Aspen Comics and I have never been happier. Thank you for posting this!

  • awesome! congrats on the internship and good luck.

  • I know the feeling.

He is one of the reasons I started drawing.

I am probably not nearly as good as you must be but that's why I'm in Animation/Art School.

    To become a better artist.

I hope to one day do an animated series for one of the Top Cow Comics' characters.

    Good luck with that internship.

Something tells me you are learning a lot!

  • @GoGoGamerGirl He was a great guy and still is. Best of luck to you.

  • He was one truly amazing artist. His work is so extraordinary. He will be missed greatly. R.I.P Michael Turner.

  • are the applause in the background for him??

  • no its not

  • OMG.. Ive only just found out he passed away... Gobsmacked..

My wife and i are avid fans of his. We have all his magazines etc.. I cant believe ive only just found out...

    :::::::(

Sure am going to miss his stunning art! Truly was the best!!

  • AMAZING artist will never be forgotten r.i.p

  • listen you imbeciles...Turner was inspired by people like Lee and Silvestri you shouldn't hate when there is obviously nothing but love between all these illustrators.

  • RIP

  • RIP

  • It's just not fair why is it that we have to lose Michael Turner, but jim lee and mcfarlane's as have to torture us all the time with thier hackness!!!! when we finally get a artists that is worthy of being in the same limelight he dies on us way too early.

why is that the way fate is working these days?

  • your right on man mike was brilliant,,,

i dont care for mcfarlane him lee n liefeld got away with murder with their bullshit books,,,

  • you, sir, are a fool. Jim Lee is brilliant. Turner, was too, but not even close to as influential as Jim Lee. You guys are just hating on those two because they actually made money on comics.

  • he will be missed=(

  • we're gonna miss you

  • R.I.P. Michael Turner

  • Epic Loss.

  • R.I.P.

    I still can't believe it :(

  • RIP my friend. One of a kind and a HUGE inspiration.

  • Mikey, you were my boy!You were my favorite artist over my 17 years of collecting and drawin characters. You were my personal inspiration for creating my own thing. Man...you've just been the best since I got Witchblade #1 back in 1997. I'll miss collecting all your great works of art. I'll miss ya brother! Love ya...Danny in TN.

  • aaa this suxx he died to early someone like him only comes once or twise in a life time

  • rest in peace.

  • Adios turner,I love cousin.

  • may he rest in peace with the other great artists that have died long before their time.

  • The guy was very talented and fought a brave battle, unfortunately, he had an aggressive type of cancer, chrondrosarcoma, which, if you look it up on wikipedia, you'll see how aggressive it is.

Mr Turner, at the height of your powers you were one of the best artists in the industry, and not even your battle with cancer could stop you from producing art which regularly sold books. Rest in Peace, you were taken far too soon and my thoughts and condolences go out to your family.

  • R.I.P Mike Turner

  • muahahahahah very nice person

  • Ahahah nice! i will draw better then he!

  • granny goodnesss is so hot. lol.
