@bealach Yes we had superb weather, it must be my luck as the last 3 long distance walks have all been blessed with good weather. I will be returning mid June ( with car & tent) to visit more of the castles and abbeys as time did not allow it. I'll start with Inverary castle and then the jail and then work my way down to St Columbas steps in southend. I just hope the weather is as good then. I shudder to think what the moorland is like now, it was really boggy during the dry spell!
publisher does not give a chice of paper surface but whatever it is they use is very good ... has a slightly shiney surface to it ... definitely a premium type of paper ... which one from Blurg do you prefer?
@mishamittens Mono, hi. If you look under book pricing the first set of prices is for "standard paper" - I used this for the first book. In the "papers" selector you will seelusre and matte under the premium paper category. For the second book I went for the lustre paper. I think the difference in price is worth it, and sometimes they have promos which give lustre for just a few dollars more. The pictures really "pop" with the lustre paper. I use standard landscape and shoot 16:9 which fits nice
@mishamittens Yes blurb is really easy to customise and you can just about have a different layout on each page if you wanted to. Its good to be able to have a choice of paper surface as well as book size. The printed quality is excellent, I can recommend them.
3rd photobook??? ... where's 1 and 2 ... you must share!
Did you doctor any of these images or are they as is ... I must say that many of my images with the TZ7 do not need anything on a very beautiful day with clear and blue skies ... but on cloudy days I find I must do something ...
OK ... so the new TZ20 (myTZ10) ... is it just touch screen or is that just for getting a quick focus on a particular object ... I love that you have all these cameras and know so much about them!!
@mishamittens Hi mona, yes the touch screen can act as a user interface to a lot of the controls like zoom and you can set it to focus and fire with the target described by where you hit the screen. Its not perfect, sometimes it still focuses on the background even though the focus area is clearly on foreground material!!
Breadthtaking and remarkable ... with truly "picture perfect" shots. Colors are spectacular!! (of course I've said it before and will again ... the photographer has alot to do with the end product) ...
Correct me if I'm wrong ... Your TZ10 (my TZ7) is what you used and not the newer TZ20 we were talking about (which would be my TZ10) ... the numbers are starting to confuse me.
@mishamittens Many people think I am a panasonic dealer with the number of panasonic cameras in my possession! I had purchased the TZ20 prior to the trip but I didn't want to risk taking a new and unfamiliar camera along. My TZ10 is the US ZS7 and the TZ20 is the US ZS10 ( isn't it confusing!) The UK TZ7 is the US ZS3. My TZ10 (your ZS7) is the one with gps added but i just turn this off
There were a lot more images i took along the way, mainly to produce my 3rd photobook when i get more images
Wonderful photos, and very interesting, as this is an area I have not visited.
You enjoyed the good weather in April, as west not so good now!

Great books Graham! ... I've used mypublisher(dot)com ... but they have a 100 page restriction ... I think I'll try this one next.
