As a fan, I hoped he stopped, but at the end of the day, it is his choice and his life. I wished M. Ali never took those last few fights in his career. Simply put, I'm 43 years old and my body does not have the capacity of 20 or 30 years old man. No offense to any one, it is just that I care about Peter.

@Kannibal187 Medical problems always come, whether or not they set in obviously or not. I like to see Aerts fight too, but if carrying on means he won't be able to remember a list of three things for a minute, it's pretty much not worth it. You also have that with Thai who fight professionally from like age 12. By the time they're 30, they took so much neurological damage they can't remember which way is up or down. Try to get through the rest of life suffering from dementia. It's no fun.

@Blahb27 That isn't common in muay thai, unless you keep going in for fights and losing them by knockout, but if that was the case you would quit obviously. I knew somebody who was an old thai fighter in his late 40's, no brain damage, no health problems and 80 + pro fights. Plus he managed to speak fluent English even though he moved here in his 40's. The bottom line is muay thai fighters don't usually sustain that much brain damage, it is mostly just boxers who suffer from noticeable damage...

@sasami34 all those 3 fighters you mention have dry muscles , they dont use steroids , if you had watched them grew you would have noticed that they gained muscle in a steady phase , thats what you can achieve with dedication and a good training program , steroids dont do anything for a fighter , steroids are purely for looks and only speed up the muscle recovery process , great for bodybuilders , but its no good for a fighter so your claim is wrong !
