  • who cares about what car is faster. The faster you go on the street the more likely you will get a ticket. If you drive like a dumbass on the streets and make a wrong move, other people will get hurt for your mistakes. I bet only a handful of people take their cars to the track anyways, and most of them don't even own a mustang or g35, cause they're both crap. They're ok as drift cars though, but with alot of mods.

Second, there are all kinds of beat up cars and nice cars at the track. Everyone is there for the same reason and that's to have fun with their cars. Third, you don't need a lot of mods to drift... just as long as it's manual and has a RWD.

  • Idk what yall are arguing about, 2011 mustangs make 100 more hp stock. G35's don't really respond to mods well either, a supercharged G35 probably wont even break 400rwhp. There was a procharged one at work and it made 399rwhp or something, I was just like "that's it?". Not a mustang fanboy by any means but don't hide the facts because of your ignorance.

  • @adfadfewfrewafawefaw @adfadfewfrewafawefaw Supercharger is better than a turbocharger. while it's more energy efficient, the turbocharger also causes back pressure int he exhaust system and provides less boost until the engine is running at higher RPM. They do virtually the same thing, but the turbo doesn't boost as greatly at lower RPMs

  • @Vashthe3rd The world doesnt revolve around you kidd.. in YOUR world, yes the mustang would be a better option, hands down, its cheaper to purchase, modify, repair, and it has lots more torque and would be quicker in a straight line. But some ppl buy cars for other reasons, such as reliability, interior design, technology, resale value, warranty, HANDLING. compare an 08 mustang gt to an 08 G37s with all of its features with the same miles. I can tell you which one i want to drive everyday... 37

    That's nice that you feel that way, but let's face it kid. The G35 and 37 has nothing you can't get from the factory in a mustang. Warranty lasts the same, the G35 and 37 actually LOSE MORE value than any mustang lol. Ford's are just as reliable, etc.

    Basically you just have a preference without any real justification.

    You forget to mention that the Mustang is made of plastic and recycled toilet seats and the G37 is built with quality parts. Oh and the G is based off of the 370z, which LOVES corners. I'd like to see a mustang take a corner without rolling off into a ditch at anything faster than 30 mph. Oh and if you say facts.. may I say one thing: Leaf spring suspension. Mustangs have the same suspension system that medieval vehicles had (cow pushing a buggy)

  • @Texarmageddon The 3 series weighs 3500 lbs. Does that mean it doesn't like corners? When you a buy a car that was designed also to be luxurious and transport passengers somewhat comfortably while being sporty at the same time, weight is inevitable.

You obviously don't know how many cars nissan builds off the FM platform and are far from corner champions. Second, this whole plastic and toilet paper thing... gets old... The leather in a G isn't that much better.. Lastly, the corvette uses a leaf spring setup too, but i bet you aren't going to talk about it. You're stuck in the stone ages kid... its called band wagoner

  • @Texarmageddon Of course compared to cars like the corvette, the new ones, and dedicated sport cars like the the Z's they don't compare, but they are far from comfortable and practical. The G is heavy for the same reason why the 3 series and especially the CTS is heavy and like i said, it's inevitable. You really don't make any sense and the FM platform has proven itself well. Also, the leather in the G is fine. It isn't plush like the Lexus but plushness doesn't support you.

  • @dukviper90 What I'm saying is that just because a car shares a platform, that doesn't mean it will handle well. As soon as you said comfortable you should have realized this. You can't associate a LUXURY vehicle with a pure sports. Do you honestly think they don't soften the suspension? Platforms only share components... that does not mean they all share the exact same setup. I'm not really on about weight.. Just the ignorant comments about handling on a mustang gets old quick.

  • @Texarmageddon All FM platformed cars handle considerably well for their class.The G and similar vehicles are called Luxury Sport Coupes or Sedans so no one is mixing Pure sports with luxury. They used the Z's platform to emphasize sport and to give it sport like handling. No one is saying it will handle like the Z. And MY G is almost the exact copy of a Z with backseat and better interior that in turn reduce noise in the cabin. The car is so well balanced, you barely feel the weight.

Mustang does handle very well better than the G even with the solid but it by no means share any commonalities with the G except for the fact it is a car.

    You can't have a BOV without boost and you can't build boost with a single rev like that without putting load on the engine and there was no 2 step.

    Centrifugal superchargers have blow off valves, and fagots like this buy the noisiest ones so they can FEEL like they have a REAL power adder instead of the bandaid system they bought.

  • thats what maybe a manufacturer says it runs its 1/4 in or some car reviewer, but fact is, if theres HR 350z's out there running 13.3's-13.5's stock (yes they run those times) then i imagaine a lighter more powerful version of those can get a 13.1. and ive seen timeslips of them getting that time or close to it.

    while the g35 is 280hp and 270tq but the 04 and under mustang gt the g35 is more stock for stock.. unless its a mach 1 or something.

    There's more of these on youtube, and they only range in 260 BHP, and the papers say 332. Such a big lost in HP because its a shitty ass car.

  • Nissan/Infiniti cars only look good on paper but strap them on a dyno they are so horrible because they don't show you the BHP. In reality, the 370z has only 260 BHP from 336HP, so the 370z lost 76HP to the wheels. On wikipedia it says the 370z has 332 BHP, which is false. The person who edited the section probably loved the car a lot, because on a dyno a stock 370z can only produce 260 BHP. Proof is on youtube. If a 370z can only do 260 BHP, a G35's BHP would be lower.

    the reason a turbo VQ only puts down 350+, is because the stock internals cant handle that much boost, really no more than 6-8 psi, however, if built, (rods, pistons, maybe sleeves ect.) then power gains will be much greater, i doubt nissan designed the g35 to be modded that much by the consumer, just for ppl who want a nice car, with good power. either way...just stfu

  • first of all... about your blow off valve comment, making it faster isn't the point and neither is the noise. it regulates the boost pressure so that if the boost exceeds a certain threshold the valve will open and dump the excess air out instead of blowing it back into the engine creating problems. anyone who doesn't want their turbo car damaged probably has one. and as for my ford comment, people that own muscle cars think that they're invincible but they aren't, a v6 with 300hp is laughable.
