It stands for Personal Computer.

It's a physical base capable of taking advantage of an operating system.

More importantly, they are Personal Computers because they are for personal use.

The short term for what most people call "PC" should really be Windows. OR maybe Win or Wind, perhaps XP or 2000. You decide.

Otherwise your just grouping computers in general ( Macintosh, Windows & Linux ) with what is being said about them.

Man are people stupid, macs are just the Linux operating system with more applications.

Windows Xp is the best operating system they can support everything on the market, macs can only support 10%, and even that they crash everything they use.

@Kossrifle you're slamming someone for their stupidity, yet you said the Mac runs Linux. It runs it's own OS that's built on Unix. Linux is based off Unix but isn't Unix. Also, you just said it all. People are still calling XP the best Windows out there. it's nearly 10 years old! Snow Leopard is by far the best OSX release yet, and they've been getting better with each release.

I noticed lately that most Mac haters don't know a thing about Macs.

They bring comments like "macs got no good programs!" Gee, what about Final Cut Pro? Also, Macs don't get Viruses, while when I was using Vista, it called Microsoft WORD a virus, I am dead serious!

Also, I saw someone's desktop on Windows 7 and it looked EXACTLY like the Mac layout...

Another reason I won't get Windows 7... on the countdown... they said it was coming out October 22th. How stupid can you be to say "22th"?
