  • this guy..what a jerk...the Catholics have contributed in helping th poor and impoverished for centuries...what have the rich oil mogul muslims done for the poor, let alone their own people? Get real! As for Obama Hussin..he's only out for himself and those like him. NO OBAMA for 2012!

  • more fox lies & hypocrisy.

  • Why it did not work? ... and Why does the capitalism is working?

  • The Young Turds.

  • I'm still trying to figure out why foxnews is still in business

  • Oh my God. How stupid are these people??

  • Yes, now the Soviet Kremlin is in the Vatican and they're going to take over the world!

  • Fox is a joke. But this guy is a idioit

  • @Orgyfan6

    A idioit, lol.

  • haha fox news is such a joke

  • It seems that we are to understand that Capitalism is a good thing.

    why?

  • Reagan was definitely one of our top 10 presidents, but he is highly over rated. Reaganomics, war on drugs, and Reagan cheese...hmmm. He is becoming mythical.

  • fascism is kind of like when a group of people get together to protest against capitalism and hired guns start throwing tear gas and shooting rubber bullets.

  • illuminati

  • Think what country is the richest and most generous? What country has contributed the most to the cause of democracy? You intellectual liberal twits have the audacity to criticize a system that allows you the freedom to express your views as idiotic as they may seem, why do you have that luxury? Why don't you leave the captalist country and go to China. Socialism/Communism does not work. Get it!

  • Man right wing protestant americans are a bit fucked. So's this asshole though

  • Man right wing protestant americans are a bit fucked

  • @stevenrhcp FTP

  • @tumshi33 F yer maw

  • Why the hell does social responsibility automatically equal capitalism? Is it not ok to help poor people get a fair shake in life?

  • @34601k Voluntarily. Not through force you assholes.

  • Of course the catholic church has vested interest in capitalism. They are one the top holders of real estate and money in the world and have been for centuries. I do not buy this whole report.

  • Let's clarify here. Obama isn't TRYING to destroy Capitailsm. He just is. People love him and throw themselves at everything he does because they are blinded by his charisma despite his lack of economic knowledge.

  • Don't forget the huge impact of Gorbachev. He knew the soviet system was doomed and pulled the troops out of Afganistan and ultimately knew things had to change.

  • Sorry but Ronald Reagan wasn't even close to JPII intellectually. JPII also utterly condemned the war in Iraq btw.

  • Every principle of popery that existed in past ages exists today when men of God stood up, at the peril of their lives, to expose her iniquity. The doctrines devised in the darkest ages are still held. Let none deceive themselves. She possesses the same pride and arrogant assumption that lorded it over kings and princes, and claimed the prerogatives of God. Her spirit is no less cruel and despotic now than when she crushed out human liberty, and slew the saints of the Most High.

  • Whenever the church has obtained political power she has used it to punish dissent from her doctrines. "The pacific tone of Rome in the United States does not imply a change of heart. She is tolerant where she is helpless. Says Bishop O'Connor: 'Religious liberty is merely endured until the opposite can be carried into effect without peril to the Catholic world.'" Men are closing their eyes to the real character of Romanism, and the dangers to be apprehended from her supremacy.

  • "The Constitution of the United States guarantees liberty of conscience. Nothing is dearer or more fundamental. Pope Pius IX, in his Encyclical Letter of August 15, 1854, said: `The absurd and erroneous doctrines or ravings in defense of liberty of conscience are a most pestilential error--a pest, of all others, most to be dreaded in a state.' The same pope, in his Encyclical Letter of December 8, 1864, anathematized `those who assert the liberty of conscience and of religious

    worship.'

  • When the papacy last reigned over church and state that period is known as the Dark Ages. The palaces of popes and prelates were scenes of the debauchery. Some reigning pontiffs were guilty of crimes so revolting that secular rulers endeavored to depose these dignitaries as monsters too vile to be tolerated. For centuries Europe had made no progress in learning, arts, or civilization. A moral and intellectual paralysis had fallen upon Christendom.

  • John Paul II was a key figure in knocking down the Berlin Wall?

    MY ASS!

  • @CommandoDude Fact he was you nazi fucking protestant assfuck.

  • @MaestroInfernus No. He wasn't. And that is VERY funny. Because, no, I am the complete opposite of that. I am a Libertarian Atheist.

Btw your ignorance is showing. Right under that thick layer of stupidity and hate.

You're a disgrace to the human race.

  • @CommandoDude Libertarian- alrite there Ted Nugent why dont you go blow your brains out in the middle east. why? you may ask. You dont believe in anything so u have no reason to live, your a disgrace upon the human race you backwards ass foe.

  • @MaestroInfernus I have plenty of reason to live. I don't need some silly imaginary friend to tell me that I need to live.

Go back to the Dark ages and burn some more witches. Humanity doesn't need the crutch of religion anymore.

  • @CommandoDude Crutch of religion? Absurd, there is one truth an angry God most certainly exists and sends constant signs that is shown through supernatural accurance as well as scientific and mathamatical study. so vanfucculofattiti stunnod.

  • @MaestroInfernus Lol. Religion is a crutch for the stupid to lean on and make up for their unwillingness to intellectually better themselves.

Not only is there no proof of God. The scripture itself is evidence that it doesn't exist. Supernatural anything is BS, and no, god doesn't throw down thunderbolts.

  • @CommandoDude Denial denial denial. Religion is reason to live religion keeps people in line it makes a moral life it teaches truth and life is proof that God exists

  • @MaestroInfernus Ha. Religion isn't a reason to live. Friends, family, life itself is why people live.

Keeping people 'In line' with religion is exactly why religion is a menace to society. Religion is Fascist. It teaches lies and encourages hate.

Abiogenesis is the reason life exists. Idiots believe in Adam and Eve.

  • @CommandoDude Religions encourage hate? what religion are you studying. Christianity and the bible promote love. Just because false prophets promote hate doesn't mean that we all do. Sometimes telling you your doing something wrong is not hatred but in fact love. It's not hate to tell your kid to not touch a hot stove. It's not hate to tell people their going to hell. You have freedom to do as you choose, but be warned, do as you please and shame will follow. If you don't like, I'm sorry.

  • @MotionFrequency Really, Christianity never promoted hate? Salem Witch Trials, Inquisitions, Crusades, Ghettos, Chivalry, Christianity has promoted hate ever since the Catholic Church came to power. If Christianity is not a hateful religion why does your God condone the genocide of non-christians? Or does Jericho ring no bells?

  • @CommandoDude You, my friend, are the only person I have come across here on these comments whom I would like to shake hands with.

Continue the fight; the only way we can get ahead is to abolish the weapon that is religion.

Fellow Venus Project supporter, by chance?

  • @mschap24 No. I am not. I took the time to read up on it and I simply disagree with its core foundations. For one. It ignores the two ultimate obstacles in its way. The human factor, and change, for societies of all kinds are resistant to it. It has a lot to say about its 'Ideal Society' but, as these sort of ideas do, has no real outline on how to create it.

Aside from that I found that it is blindly ignorant of two things.

  • @mschap24 First it states that Money is not a resource. When it is, it does not represent a physical resource, such as food. It represents an invisible resource called Manpower. Humans exert energy to earn money, the money is not a resource but a means to exchange the energies inputted between two humans for goods. There is however, a disparity between the amount of energy two individuals exert and how much money they earn.

  • @mschap24 The second is resource based producing. Too be honest I do not see how this project outlines a different approach to exchanging manpower for goods. That is a problem I found with it as well, it is incredibly vauge (Indicator that the idea is idealistic rather then realistic). Not to mention, resourced based producing fails to overcome the fact that producing based on what we are capable of inevitably leads to overpoduction. Such a strategy upsets the balance between demand and supply

  • @CommandoDude Religion has helped me out a hell of a lot more than anything an atheist or evolutionist has ever told me. You don't believe in supernatural things, but you all believe that magically nothing created everything for no reason other than for us to worship science. Pathetic. Then you believe supernaturally a theory that says fish jumped onto land turned into a monkey some way and then turned into a human some way. Then you say we believe in the supernatural. What a joke.

  • @MotionFrequency You have absolutely no idea what you are even talking about. Everything was created from nothing? Lol what a crock of shit, nothing was ever created. Fish jumped onto land and turned into monkeys? Only someone who believed in Miracles could come up with such nonsense (Read: You) Or have you never heard of amphibians? We don't believe in supernatural, we don't worship science. Science is fact, to deny it is to deny reality.

  • Our leaders are deceived. The papacy is far-reaching in her plans and modes of operation. She is employing every device to extend her influence and increase her power in preparation for a fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the world, to re-establish persecution, and to undo all that Protestantism has done. Men are closing their eyes to the real character of Romanism, and the dangers to be apprehended from her supremacy. She is a most dangerous foe to civil and religious liberty.

  • @thelastcrisis For that you should be burned at the stake. Protestantism equals the destruction of christianity with your nearly countless denominations fighting amongst themselves, your libralism hate for aGod the Savior hisintructed rep. The Pope and The Holy church. Liberty is being freed from yoiu decievers of mankind. If it wasnt for you there would be no fucking Free Masons and new world order or these fucking Muslims taking over.

  • A prayerful study of the Bible would show you the real character of the papacy, and would cause you to abhor and to shun it; but many are so wise in their own conceit that they feel no need of humbly seeking God that they may be led into the truth. Although priding themselves on their enlightenment, they are ignorant both of the Scriptures and of the power of God.

  • @NationalApostasy Saints? We are the leaders of upholding the saints truth were as you protestants deny their existance and discredit them. Protestantism swarms as aids in the womb of the whore of babylon. you heretics will yeild to the all powerful Church of Roman Catholicism or face an eternity of hellfire for denying the truthy and only truth of its supremecy demanded by God himself and establisheed by The messiah sired to his right hand Saint Peter.

  • Yes indeed! Remember when the pope last reigned supreme over church and state? That long dark period is commonly known as the Dark Ages. "The noon of the papacy was the midnight of the world."--J. A. Wylie, The History of Protestantism, b. 1, ch. 4. For centuries Europe had made no progress in learning, arts, or civilization. A moral and intellectual paralysis had fallen upon Christendom. It is very sad to see a once proud, independent and free nation now submitting itself to Rome.

  • wow retards

  • Capitalism doens't work....

  • I HOPE SO!!!!!!!!!

    ONELOVE!!!!!

  • What is the difference between capitolism and CORPORATISM?

  • None, really. As Marx predicted over 100 years ago the natural evolutionary process of capitalism is for businesses to merge into huge conglomerates that would monopolize markets & slow innovation. His book Das Kapital was chalk full of predictions concerning how capitalism would turn into an imperial corporatism & the people would HAVE to move towards democracy, then social-democracy, to secure themselves from abuses of the conglomerates.

  • this guy doesnt know what he is talking about, watch the documentary "the story of stuff" or "the corporation" in youtube so that u may have better understanding of what society is.

  • "The morality that ensues from individual freedom."

Can anyone tell me what the FUCK that even means?

  • @badtown88 SIgh... you're feeding your enemies point.

  • @watrxcoolerxromance

    Dick,

I didn't mean it literally, I'm not retarded. I meant that very rarely does morality come from individual freedom.

  • @badtown88 It mean freedom is moral.

    Suck it liberals.

  • @BrettDunbar

You're an idiot. I'm all for freedom, but that doesn't make it moral. I'm also a capitalist, but if I was a Christian I'd be a hypocrite, just like you probably are.

    Suck it conservatives.

  • @badtown88 BrettDunbar has an advanced degree from stupid school.

  • @badtown88 It is conservative marketing (creating reality). It's like the way a popular girl in high school coins a new phrase and is very happy when she gets others to use the phrase so she has some more power. Ya, it's like what a teenage girl does.

  • @Ninetyone11

Well I have noticed conservatives will believe any phrase that sounds good regardless of whether it makes any sort of sense or not.

  • Thank god for the end of Capitalism,Eliteism,Right-Wing Politics,Anti-Gun agendas,Coporate CEO's,Wall St,George W. Bush and all those other things that support CAPITALISM>

  • Capitolism is coming to an end. Oligarchies, and Monopolies rule the market today. The Rothschilds are taking bankruptcies, on thier paper assets, and then geting the taxpayer to pick up the tab. And then charging the Taxpayer interest for the loan through the FED that they own. There never were Free Markets, there was always the created illusion of free markets, so the rich can absorb more of the wealth, by moving the cattle around with lightening strikes, that they planned years in advance.

  • "or how about Ronnie; oh, the Gipper, he's so tough..."

    hahahaha

  • this guy ws obviously doesnt know about communism--

  • haha you are making this videos really cool

  • This guy das not know what communism is

  • "communism is never gonna work..." Every economic model is an experiment, including capitalism. These experiments last in some cases for years, in some cases for decades, and in some cases, for centuries. Neither capitalism in its current form nor communism as it has ever existed are capable of long term survival. Socialism on the other hand ((not to be confused with Communism!!)) is perfectly capable of long term survival because it balances the interests of both individuals and industry.

  • Communism in the USSR failing mostly because of external forces that wanted it to fail. Those same interest will apply the same forces to Socialism. Because our world has limited resources any model will fail eventually. IMO capitalism with good social programs can the benefit the most the longest. T. Paine's Agrian justice can & should be adapted to our current economy & put in place..

  • Capitalism is not that great. A global respect for humans /and all life is so much better. A hard days work for a honest day pay..what happened to this. ???Now it's more work less pay. ...Capitalism keeps the poor in servitude..

  • Neoklassic1, you're closer than you know with your description of Capitalism... something that most don't want to admit about this economic system.

Capitalism is based purely on selfishness and self-interest. Do you think business lowers prices (due to competition) out of the goodness of their heart? Fuck no! They want their competitors customers so that they sell their products. Society benefits from competition because of the lower prices, but that's an externality, and not the purpose.

  • You couldn't have said it any better my brother.

  • @Neoklassic1 Socialism and Communism keep everyone in servitude to the state. that is the most pathetic systems ever created. If those systems are so good, why don't you liberals move to Russia, Cuba, or China. America will ALWAYS be capitalist or it will NEVER exist. Capitalism has some tuneups that need to be done but it destroys the other crappy dictator sorry excuses for human life. Free market is the best thing ever invented. Anyone can start a business. Big government is not good at all.

  • @MotionFrequency Being Liberal has nothing to do with Socialism or Communism. Only people who believe propaganda perpetuated by the right wing think that. And by the way. Unregulated free market is what drove the economy into the shits.

  • @Neoklassic1 Unlike communism and socialism, it works!. In Communism and Socialism, the government is in charge of how much money everyone gets, but how can you trust the government to distribute the wealth? And if the government becomes corrupt, who is there to stop them?

In capitalism, it is somewhat difficult, yet very possible to get ahead. You just have to work hard! And I don't mean capitalism w/ absolutely no government regualtions. Anyways, if not Capitalism, what do you suggest?

  • @aaa333ify

I think it's different for different countries. If Americas govement got corrupted, and I mean really corrupted it would be a disaster since it's a superpower.

But maybe for some smaller countries like mine socialism works pretty well actually.

We have socialized health care and people who are under privilidged get money to keep them off the streets. We still have free speach and press.

Education is completely free (except for taxes) so it wount be limited of how much money you have.

  • @Bossentuppen I personally would like to achieve wealth (that I can use to make the world a better place), but if a bunch of people all decide to form a socialistic country, that's fine with me! I just don't trust governments to be able to have that much power, without becoming corrupt.

  • @Bossentuppen bty which country are you from?

  • @aaa333ify

    Sweden, born and raised.

We're actually getting a little less socialized now, we used to have just one special store where you could buy alcohol and one where you could buy medincin but now there are many.

Ironically some people are really afraid that since the medicin companies are no longer controlled by the goverment that the companies will corrupt and sell bad medicin to get more money.

At least it has worked well so far :)

  • @Bossentuppen I <3 Sweden:)

sounds like a good idea to let the medicine companies be free from the government, unless of course, the companies CHOOSE to be government run. But I hope it all works out well:)

  • @aaa333ify

    Thanks, I hope so too.

Random fact: Bush is a Swedish decendant and so is Buzz Aldrin!

I'm not too crazy about Bush but still...

Some socialists in Sweden want's to quote "remove the classes" but A: I don't think it's gonna work. B: I have a friend who is totally white trash and he is friends with our premiere ministers son, he met him at summer camp...

Face it, the class difference situation is not that bad!

May I ask, why do you love sweden? Just curious.

  • @Bossentuppen That's cool! I never would have guessed about Bush, but whose Buzz Aldrin?

Yeah, cuz also in the US, poor lol "white trash" kids are friends w/ rich kids.

I just like norse culture and mythology, st. lucia day, and the vikings, really nice pastries and breads, just the culture in general is really beautiful, and its also a really beautiful country

  • @aaa333ify

But he IS white trash, it's the best way to describe him. Even he does.

They met while he was permiere minister, and I find it hard to belive that you would have any chance to run into Obamas daughters if you went to summer camp. Not now when he's in office.

Maybe the term "white trash" is a bit more offensive in America, here we mostly joke about it. It's not a thing somebody yells at you to insult you, it's a thing you self-ironically call yourself or a close friend

  • @Bossentuppen That would be cool to run into 1 of them after his term ends! Yeah, in the US, its a cruel, derogatory term, but i guess 1 term can have a different meaning in a different culture.

  • @aaa333ify

Yeah but they'll have protection from the Secret service for 10 years so it could be kinda difficult...

Here it's not very insulting. Obvioulsy we got it from you but it's not used very often and when it is it's not very offensive. Just a joke thing.

  • @Bossentuppen Sounds like Sasha and Malia are overprotected lol! OMG you're a junior too? that's so cool! Yeah, I mean, they're not anti-american, but they do feel that America is an arrogant, ignorant nation... but MOST americans like america. Thnx! Yeah, i just realized, it is the entertainment metropol- but you guys have ABBA! You're gonna be an exchange student in Vegas? That'll be a blast! Have fun!

  • @aaa333ify

All presidential families get protection for 10 years after they have gone out of office. It used to be for life but not anymore.

I guess most Americans are intelligent and normal but some... *FACE PALM*!

I watched a game show in Florida and a grown woman was asked: Name one country on the othe side of the pacific" Her aswer was "Pass".

We also have two movies that Hollywood is gonna remake: "Let me in" and "The girl with the dragon tattoo". "Let me in" is Oct 1 this fall!

  • @Bossentuppen I guess any country has idiots. (and our current education system needs lots of work) Lol FACE PALM!! OMG I'd be so embarressed if I were her. BTY how was 'the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" ? I can't wait 2 to see those films! I AM a girl LOLOLOL!! Men and women are equally intelligent, but men are physically stronger and they are meant to be the protectors...but protector doesn't mean boss. But lol that's so funny that they think you guys are becoming too wimpy:)

  • @aaa333ify

Yeah, but most countries tend to try and ignore their idiots while you kinda encorage them." Jackass" is a good example of that.

I actually haven't seen "the girl with the dragon tattoo"... or "let me in". But I know what they are about.

I guessed you were a girl since you brought the equality thing up.

It's so unfair, they tell us that they want us to be sesitve even though they don't!

I guess they want us to be hard on the outside and mushy on the insde.

  • @Bossentuppen Nope. Most (or maybe even all) countires have ignored their idiots at times, and encouraged their idiots at times. If you are thinking of the american media, just know that neither Hollywood nor the mainstream news media represents the values of the majority of americans.

The girls probably just want you to be emotional, but to also be tough, and not let your emotions control you.

That's cool! I'll have to look at that list sometime:)

  • @aaa333ify Yeah, I know it doesn't but it is the image you send us.

  • @Bossentuppen True

  • @aaa333ify

On Wikipedia there is a list of famous Swedish-Americans.

    It's surpriseingly long...

  • @aaa333ify

Why doesn't Americans know who Buzz Aldrin is? It's you history!

Edwin "Buzz" Eugene Aldrin: Born in Monteclair, New Jersey 20 jan 1930. He was on Apollo 11 and he was the second man on the MOON!

You're not the first American I've met who doesn't know who he is, I thought you were crazy about your history.

  • @Bossentuppen Oh, i think i remember learning about him in elementary school. Last year we learned World History, but next year, in highschool junior year, we're learning US history, so I'll probably learn more about him. Yeah, i guess i've just taken more interest in different parts of American history.

  • @aaa333ify

You're gonna be a junior? Then we're the same age :)

You said your friends didn't like the US? C'mon! It's the country of JFF (just for fun) how can you not like that?

Like 85% of our Music and TV is american. Even if America do some bad stuff it's still the entertainment metropol of the world! No matter what Bollywood says...

I've been to America and I'm comming back this fall! I'm gonna be an exchange student in Vegas, baby! I was at the US embassy today to get my visa.

  • @aaa333ify

Most of the people in my grade wanna move to America.

  • @Bossentuppen Wow, then we're more popular than I thought! I heard that Sweden is the #1 EU nation in equality of political and education systems, and that the Global Gender Gap Report 2006 ranked Sweden as #1 for gender equality.

  • @aaa333ify

Are you kidding me? Of course America is popular, I can't think of any western world country that is mor popular It's because of Hollywood though, not politics... Equality? All right. You know what kinda sucks though, our girls think that we have become to wimpy! They want us to treat them equally but they aslo wants us to be protective gentlemen. Paradox!

  • @aaa333ify

I didn't know people outside Sweden knew about St. Lucia. I wonder why we celbrate it, chick's italian.

Yeah, norse mythology is pretty spaced out... they belived that the sky was the inside of a giants skull and that the earth was his brain...

What pastries do we have that are special?

Yeah, Sarek's great but America is indeed very beautifull too. :)

  • @Bossentuppen Yeah, in grade school we dressed up as her, in white gowns, and head wreaths, and served the little kids buns, it was so cute! oh, idk just like their buns, and rolls...i like how the norse dressed, and how they depicted their gods and stuff,...omg that's sick about the skull and brain! well @ least they knew that thought came from the brain lol... your traditional dress is really pretty, and the Sami are really cool.

Oh, thnx:) you're 1 of the few people I know who like America

  • @aaa333ify

You did? Cool, I just though we had it here. Are the buns with saffron and raisins?

Yeah, there are still quite a lot of rune stones here. As I said the norse mythology is really spaced out.

Here the traditional dress is considered... pretty damn nerdy, the Sami people are sometimes referred to as "the indians of the north which I think is kinda unfair cus then people think we invaded them but we lived here just as long as they have.

  • @Neoklassic1 sshhhhh be very very quiet know one is suppose to know that! Next thing I know you will be telling us Jesus is not a capitalist! We don't care we think like lizards! Give us the fleeting chance of being the supper rich or give us death! ... on a serious note How is it that people that are suppose to be christian in love with capitalism? What was Jesus view on wages, and the poor and who was to wash who's feet?

  • @Neoklassic1 "capitalism keeps the poor in servitude.." No they fucking don't. It's your fault wages are stagnating and jobs are gone now. You fascist liberals are assholes. Just die already.

  • FtP

  • isn't the idea of Heaven very much living in Communism...or Christian conservatives think heaven is a place were only white people will be forever without black people?...............the ignorace

  • America was not founded on, "anthropological systems" to control a set of people. It was founded to set them free. Your statements are Un-american and against the constitution. The citizens do not need to be controlled the government does. Go to England if you want to be controlled by the Government, have insane taxes and lack property rights.

  • My God what is wrong with these guys? Market economies, free market, Capitalism, etc etc - that's ALL they ever talk about. Fear mongering, i tell that is ALL what this is- and not restricted to this either. It's sickening- like there is some bogeyman out there after a scared and frightened american capitalism. They way Fox News plays on people emotions instead of appealing to their heads is just beyond belief- i only wonder if they truly believe what they say.

  • You better believe that the government is the boogeyman. The government is to be watched and curbed at every act to increase its power. The government is the the institution that needs to be regulated by the people. It is so out of control that it is buying up private sector corporations and now they own it. Its needs to be neutered.

  • No...no... the government is actually an institution that is set up to regulate the people not the other way round. You are SERIOUSLY too paranoid about this. what exactly gives you people this fear that the government is out to get you? American has NEVER been even CLOSE to a dictatorship- so why all the government mistrust? If anything, it is the power and activities of corporation that need to be CLOSELY regulated- they are for profit and hence INHERENTLY more dangerous.

  • This country was FOUNDED on government mistrust. The government is to be regulated and controlled. It is to be kept small. It was founded to protect the people from foreign invaders and that is it... It WAS NOT built to regulate the people. Government HAS POWER and that is worst than greed, the power that the government has must be curbed and regulated by the people so that liberty can prevail.

  • Listen, pardon me i'm about to get abstract- anthropologically, systems of government are in place for one thing and one thing only and that is to preside over the people- and you know WHY every society no matter how primitive has a system of government? It's because large masses of people NEED to be governed. Now why do you assume that government wants to increase it's power?? It's a SYSTEM- faceless- there's no despot or tyrant or are you saying that EVERYBODY in Gov. is out to get you?

  • I am saying that power is corrupting and that it needs to be regulated by the people. "We the people" is a philosophy that is founded on libertarian views that wants to restrict the government to keep it small in order to live our lives the way we see fit. The government is only here to protect us. Not run our lives. Now, I will concede that we need police to protect, but even that needs to be strictly controlled so that fascism and police states do not become the norm.

  • You don't give people enough credit. I used to sympathise with similar libertarian views that you have- however a lot of it only works in an IDEAL world. As individualist as my sympathies still tend to skewer to, i still realise that government has a larger role to play than only providing protection which i may point out is also protection from exploitation by other people/corporations.

ps:Yeah, Britain's tax system sucks ass... but they do have nhs so i guess they like the trade.

  • We must always work towards the ideal. Ideals can never be reached. Ideals are to be strived for.

  • Yes... an admirable sentiment, but my argument is that you are arguing as though that i deal is ALREADY here. Like we're at the place where people and corporations can run without any regulation and not fuck shit up. i doubt that we will ever reach that place. Even today De Beers is still running virtual slave camps in east africa, Nike uses sweat shop labour- and when they unionize Nike closes the factories and move on to exploit some other country. And this is WITH some regulation- scary.

  • How are you gonna regulate a company that is producing in a different country? That is the other country's responsibility and not ours. Our responsibility is to stop purchasing their goods and to make it known their practices will not be tolerated and will be punished decreased sales. As I said before a ideal can never be reached. I never said things were perfect as is.

  • Our government is going to continue to not prosper with socialist ideals that lead to big government that steals money out my pocket to run failed businesses.

  • lol yea because the buisnesses have not taken any of your money now right?

  • No they haven't, if I don't want to buy from a business I simply don't.... The choice is left to me and its called the free market... The Govenrment takes my money by force. And are you actually stating that since corporations take money away from me its justified for the government to dip their hands in my pockets too?

  • yea twist my words lol. look no one is advocating that the government should take over anything but are you saying that we should just leave everything as it is? i mean we tried that it doesnt work. We need new options, we need to regulate, we need to save the economy. why is that so hard for you people to understand?

  • No it should not be left the way it is... But it is the wrong decision for the government to step in and regulate anything. It is wrong for the government to force me to pay for anyone else's health care. This is stealing and if I forced you to pay for my health care by violence and incarceration in my basement then I would go to jail. Why is it ok for the government to force me to do the same. I want the governmnet out of my life and out of my pocket.

  • People and corporations NEED government regulation. Have you SEEN what corporations do without regulation?? See Monsanto or Congo Free State or De Beers- corporations are for profit and will do ANYTHING... i repeat ANYTHING to be profitable. Do you know how they exploit third world labourers?? Man i'm for capitalism but pure capitalism cannot exist because people left alone will NOT follow the rules and do business honorably and if you are above 12 you will know that.

  • Government will do ANYTHING and I mean anything to increase its power over its people. And trust me when I say that its the Government that condones and encourages crap like this to happen. In the free market the things you listed takes care of itself. Keep the government out of my life and my pocket.

  • And regardless of what you say about living in a republic- you are in a society and like it or not the lifestyle you enjoy is a DIRECT consequence of being member of that society- don't talk about "your" pocket, the many advantages you've enjoyed growing up in this society made a lot (not all) of what you have achieved possible.

  • I'm not just talking about MY pocket... I'm talking about all of our pockets and when the government forces us to pay taxes that we have no say in, then that is essentially stealing. And that is exactly what I am doing... I am speaking for the "lifestyle" that we all enjoy. Raising taxes and expanding government is in direct contradiction to the society that we enjoy.

  • When i say any large mass of people need to be reglated i don't mean "controlled" I mean that there has to be a system in place to curb the excesses, in the economic sector this means trying to reduce the impact of the lows even if it means sacrificing some productivity. Give and take- and in healthcare, the "pro" is making the lives of millions easier and possibly saving a few AMERICAN lives and the "con" is , yes, a little more government interference, a little tax hike. Is it a fair trade?

  • No it is not, I will not have the government take away the right to my own labor to provide for others. Un-American. And like I said power grows... The need to regulate more into peoples lives will grow as well. Diabetes is an epidemic in this country. The government will begin to tax anything they deem "unhealthy," in an attempt to curb our unhealthy habits. This is a classic example of how power grows on itself.

  • On healthcare, the money taken from the tax increase on the wealthy is to benefit EVERYBODY- not only the poor. It's also a kind of safety net so that as long as you are a citizen you know you have protection no matter what happens- now isn't that a nice sentiment? Besides, you are in a democratic society, and if this is what the majority wants then you have to accept it- ahh democracy in action- now ain't that sweet? Unless you're against democracy too...

  • If you took all the money that the wealthy owned and stole it from them, it still wouldn't be enough to cover the cost of this health care system you "think" you want. And no... I don't want a democracy, I want a Republic, which is exactly what we have because people without a bit of education on the matter call for this crap. This country was founded on small government and low taxes and that is the way I would like to go towards. I can take care of myself and I want the gov. out of my life.

  • Now your advocacy of the free market is cute and in an IDEAL world i swear i would be on your side. But it ISN'T. "In the free market the things you listed takes care of itself" what?? What world are you living in? America HAD almost unregulated free market capitalism- why do you think they abandoned that system? Or you think they were idiots then? an unrestricted goes in cycles so fast that stability is almost none existent! I'm not in favour of big gov. but i know that NO gov. is just loony.

  • well ima marxist and i resemble that remark what does the pope think about piretes like capt jack ooooooooo what about the terminator whats the pope think about terminaters ?gods gonna give us a camal what if i smoke winstons?

  • destroy capitalism, sweet.

  • debt raise ! yah end up fed end up dead," blame asskash nigger

  • If anybody even vaguely believes this, you are very thick and probably, nothing against you, but American. I've never known a broadcaster come out with so much crap constantly.

  • The federal reserve caused the great depression, not capitolism. capitolism with money backed by gold corrects it self in deflation. worthless paper money not backed by anything is what causes depressions to be barbarically worst

  • Obama is controlling the Pope to go and fight aliens.

  • zombie nazi alliens

  • dude i can't say how much i agree with you! 5 stars!

  • Fox News is so misguided,no wonder people are laughing at them, not with them.

  • That is absurd (obviously), but oh so hilarious.

  • Hayek was a douche but even he realized that capitalist free markets can not regulate everything and that it can not do everything efficiently. Read it, I have.

  • That is such bullshit. Reagan had nothing to do with knocking down the Berlin Wall. The wall was brought down by M. Gorbachev, because he saw russia's economy was comming to a stand-still, and could no longer afford East Germany; had nothing to do with Reagan

  • This story sounds so much like an infomercial.

"Well Jack, what do you think...Well, Steve..."

Jesus was a capitalist! Fuck the poor! And I quote... What does a god have to do around here to get some wine? Get crucified...for my sake!

  • Oddly enough, a lot of republicans who espouse this pro-capitalist and pro-freemarket mentality, they are not rich at all. They don't know why they're protecting the rich. They are only protecting the possibility of them becoming rich which won't even happen. They're paranoid about the evil government taking away their money. But if you look at where your money is going, it isn't to the government but to private enterprises that charge you too much.

  • I really need to post comments after I watch the whole video. Cenk, one of the reasons they ran out of money, was the cold war! communism could possibly work within the proper situations. It's not that the system was "Wrong", just improperly manifested and maintained.

  • That guy is a moron, wtf! First off Reagan did hardly anything to bring down the USSR they collapsed over their own debt, their economy fell apart

  • Capitalism sucks!

  • capitalism suck? so tell me lets have the all knowing and un currupt govenment run things because history has shown us that the govenment ALWAYS is right

  • YOU are the government

  • no WE ALL are the govenment and tell me do u know my needs and wants no? do u think some guy who represents 300 million pplz carea about MY wants? no or better yet does a person who represent only 100 pplz 1 of which includes me cares about my wants if i am the only one who wants cream soda? no i am not the govenment .. WE are the govenment and YOU DON'T KNOW ME so lets just help OUR SELFS and only when WE need it does the WE apply! that is the idea of capitalism

  • No, offense, but capitalism screws up too. Lets LOOK at history. How about the great depression, how about when Maggie Thatcher left millions of englishmen out of work, how about when capitalism failed in Germany before WWII and we all know where that led...

You see, the trick is to impose certain fiscal systems at certain times, capitalism looks like it works really well when things are going good, however, like the situation now, where there are millions out of work, it sucks.

  • no system is without flaw saying one system is "the perfect system" is ignorant. Every economy no matter what type will go through hard times HISTORY shows us that.....

and what happened in germany before WWII was CAUSED BY THE MASSIVE DEBT germans had from WWI

my view is that capitalism is the best system because its a democrazy everyone votes with their dollars and if you think you can run a better campain aka a business you simply do it and hope that everyone like your product

  • Did you not read that guys comment? He was making the point that no system is perfect. And that we should use "certain fiscal systems" to make up for another systems flaws. Whats the point of staying the course when we are heading into a depression

  • =_= The reason we are in a recession is because dum ass republicans and democrats said it was ok for every poor person to have a morgage and the system fell down from there... yeah lets stay the course

  • Comment removed

  • Um yes it did, they had a free market after the Kaiser abdicated.
