That fighter... The player ship... That fighter was know to be controlled by a certain "demon" or energy source. It looks so familiar that I might need to investigate about it by sending an EF3135. If we can detect an energy source inside that Fraxian fighter...

Fraxy is a freeware shooter that allows you to design your own bosses and even build entire stages with it - there are lots of custom made bosses to keep you occupied. The actual editor isn't that bad either once you learn the basics.

Actually this boss is based on a guardian boss from La-Mulana, also known as Palenque. However I think there might be a chance that the original Palenque was inspired by Boost Core from Gradius Gaiden.

I do believe that the second form is exclusive to this Fraxy remake.

The original boss just had a cheap suicide attack. Ebo was originally going to put that in for the Fraxy remake, but later scrapped it in favor of an actual second form.

But Ebo DID say on the Unofficial Fraxy Forum that the Fraxy remake DOES have a cheap tactic that it'll use if you try to use a support weapon(like the Sol Diffuser) against it.

I believe this is the best boss I've ever seen! The animation of the rider and vehicle is perfect, there's no unnecessary bullet spam, the difficulty level is high without being impossible, and there's definitely a sense of being chased and chasing. Love it! This belongs in a commercial shmup, not just a Fraxy boss
