If I didn't know any better, i'd guess that either 1, the great fairy is being used as the placeholder actor of a different actor that used to exist, using this scene to represent what happens in the first chapter of the anime, or, this world is supposed to be parallel, and the great fairy wanted Link to polush up on his skills (which could explain why he sounds older, looks older, can do sideflips, and pick up rocks without the goron bracelett)...but i could be wrong!
